Any trick to removing the stock artwork?

Edit: Nevermind, I tried it out on my non MArvel TE. That artwork is ridiculously easy to remove.

Finally got my Custom Dustwashers, and here they are :

Note This one was an extra one that I received. The paint is a little messed up around the black but it still looks fine

Note This Custom dustwasher is the final product one. No mess-up on this one

I’d like to really thank Art for these and I look forward in ordering Plexi from you.

~Saka

Honestly, was anyone even surprised that the plexis fit? I believe Mark basically confirmed that the S was the old TE with new side “wings” - heck we even talked about mixing and matching side “wings” from a regular and an S to create P1 and P2 TEs.

those dust washers look awesome!
I was wondering…do you guys normally have Art do your background printouts or do you take them to Kinkos. I have no idea how much they are if you take them to a store, and if it’s only a couple bucks more to have Art do them, well that’s probably worth it. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Now…I’m looking forward to everyones ideas for washers…just when I thought this customization couldn’t get any cooler…we have custom washers now!

kinkos charges 1.49 per printout. it isnt expensive, having art do them is more like “im paying someone 10 bucks so i can be lazy” really lol.

I guess, but he also perfectly laser cuts the turbo panel, joystick hole , and buttons hole. He is also pretty laxed on copyrighted stuff. Which you cant really say about kinko’s…

Aren’t you guys happy I made the TE so customizable?

Well. Big thanks to Art as he took the ideas/execution to the next level.

im not knocking dudes hustle on this, im just saying some people dont have the 10 bucks extra to spend on something like that. there are other options and ive had so many templates printed out all with the SFIV logo and characters and they have not given me a problem. they ask me what im using this for and i tell them “im using this for a fightstick. i get bored of looking at the same thing i change them out a lot” and they say “oh ok so you want it exact size?”.

me personally when ive cut the turbo panel once the plexi is in any part i didnt cut right looks fine, buttons and joystick hole too. ill just stop there you guys take it the wrong way. he charges 20 bucks what other places charge 60 bucks for which is great. if i crack my plexi ill buy more from him.

No worries Escoben. I don’t think anyone was taking it the wrong way, you did a great job of summerizing the difference between Art and a local print shop. Sounds like there are pros and cons for both, thanks for your input!:woot:

ps…i’m going to try and implement the use of “knocking a dudes hustle” within a conversation ASAP :bgrin:

I finally found the time to finish installing the plexis I ordered. The screws of my TE are weird so I wasn’t able to figure out how to add the button plexi, but the replacement plexi for the hrap that you sent me more than makes up for it.

Thank you very much Art!

and I got an air circulator for my room, so hopefully that would solve any temperature issues in the future!

Hey Art, I’ve tried to get in touch with you but I didn’t get a response. I sent you an email and a PM. I wanted to get a full plexi for my TE “S”. I wanted it to be the same as my etched mirror plexi you did a while back but this time it would be a full plexi and it would be the all black acrylic 6 buttons config. Let me know how to order this so you know about the art etch.

hey art, just put in my order for a full Plexi yesterday. cant wait! thanks for the great addition to my stick

While it’s no secret Kinko’s only charges $1.49 - $3 for a print (depending on media), I wouldn’t label those who use my service as “lazy”. Allow me to share a different perspective.

A long while ago when I first started this, I had a few people ask if I can do the artwork cuts for them (This is before I even had the laser cutter). Those who asked admitted they are no where near being a craftsperson nor even pretend to. Some say they have big or unsteady hands that make it hard to effectively control an Xacto knife. Some have tried and have messed up more than they can handle. And there are those who found it took them 30min or more to make the cut (everyone varies)… time they feel could’ve been spent elsewhere. Then at the time I helped hand cut a couple for those who really didn’t find any other option. So when I finally got the laser cutter, it only made sense to offer the service for those interested.

And although your experience with Kinko’s has been positive, every Kinko’s is different. When I use to go to Kinkos I got lucky and made some friends there who didn’t give a crap about what I printed. But when another person came wanting to print a “Batman” Symbol, he was turned down due to “copyright” issues. In another Kinkos I couldn’t print anything with a logo, or was warned about it. I’ve been emailed plenty of Kinko/office max horror stories as well. They just have stricter policies on that stuff, and some employees follow it to the dot, while some are lenient. So there are many people who prefer not to deal with that, not to mention some people’s nearest kinko’s is a long drive away. So what it comes down to is if my service is worth people’s time, convenience and abilities.

Now I’m not knocking your opinion, and you bring up good points. I just wanted to share a different perspective on the matter.

You’re gonna get a much cleaner cut that you know will fit perfectly under the plexi if you have art do it.

If you really want to save the $7 then kinkos is a good alternative but I feel the benifits greatly out weigh the slight difference in cost. You even get the damn button cut outs, perfectly round.

I also used to work at a print center and people would come in with all sorts of crazy shit just like this and from experiance my word of caution for doing it at a print center is: Sure they know how to do it and they might be pretty good at it but, they’re not experts.

I’m lazy!!! He suffers so you don’t have to! Thanks Art!

Thanks again everyone. I’m juggling between the forums, email and PMs as I’ve got a lot to get through from my down time. If I haven’t gotten to your PM/Email yet, please give me some time and I’ll eventually get to it. Or just shoot me a reminder =).

Heh, I haven’t stopped spending on sticks either… I know how you feel =O.

Negative. The extended plexi replacement has slightly different dimensions than the extended plexi cover. I will be working on artwork options for sandwiching between Plexi Panels in the near future.

Not yet. I will try to get some samples soon as I can.

The screw holes are positioned to accept the LS-32 metal plate mounting. However, I haven’t fully gone into detail on testing them past that point. But in theory it should be fine. If you find issues, please let me know.

Yeah, my freaking host is the Sux. I’m switching hosting relatively soon.

Heh, I can’t complain. The first day of my site’s “re-opening” was quite overwhelming, lol. I need to get started on orders NOW =)

Love the ease to mod them and makes it easy to come up with ideas =).

Cool dude! And for some reason your TE is different on the bottom. I personally have not encountered anyone else with a TE where the bottom screws protrude out so much =P.

I’m still catching up a ton of emails and PMs. I would say to expedite things, make your order with the cover/panel you want and in the notes remind me to look up the previous artwork you sent, with all the logos and such. I will look for it and work things out with you as I approach your order.

Hey, Art. What happened to the top plexi combo deals you used to have? I see the bottom plexi and art combo, but not the top ones.

I don’t remember him ever having a top panel art deal. Are you sure he had that deal? Or are you mistaking it with something else?

On a side note, I put in my order for a full top panel TE plexi and extended art print/cut. I’m sad to see the BlazBlue button option gone since that is what I was going to use for a mirror plexi + etch for my HRAP EX-SE, but at the same time I’m not sweating it because I recently found a new shumup that requires more then 4 buttons to play  So now I need to redo my template for my HRAP to accommodate 6 buttons now.

any idea if you’ll ever do the SE stick
