Does anyone know whether or not Art’s plexi covers will fit the new TE “S” stick?

hard to say for sure until someone actually gets one…but it looks shockingly similar to his TE Full Panel Plexi.

same here made order on sunday. cant wait

Hopefully Art will look into this and give us the official word on the question at hand.

What’s the difference between the TE clear metal panel replacement plexi and the regular full plexi? Is it just a matter of thickness?

Does the TE extended plexi replace the metal panel as well, or just sit on top without the red bezel?

Seimitsu PS-14-G doesn’t fit into the plexiglass…its a little too big by about a mm. :frowning:

All the ones available NOW…the regular (which fits inside the red bezel) , the extended (which does not use the bezel, around the same size as plexi w/ bezel), and the full (no bezel, most surface area) all use the metal panel underneath for support.

The new full replacement plexi’s are going to replace the metal panel as well so you can see inside the stick. They are thicker so they can support the weight without the metal panel.

Really? I thought they were 30mm too. It’s just that the snaps won’t fit in?

Has anyone been having this same problem with the Seimitsu PS-14-KN?

These panels are pretty durable. I’m sure you guys saw Art going at it in his videos - I’ve been testing both the extended and full replacement panels and have been pounding on the panels every time I show or tell someone about it, and they’re still holding up beautifully. I think you guys will like this product . Here’s an example of what you can do with the replacement panel, art, and plexi cover - however, you can only do this with screw ins! One - two

That’s pretty strange. You may have to file down the small nubs on the edge of the button - you actually have to do this to OBSF-30s that you’re putting in the actual TE by itself, so it’s pretty much standard operation. If it still doesn’t fit… that’s pretty strange.

I have a PS-14-KN and have fit it in my plexis with no problems whatsoever.

Those plexi replacement pics look cool shiryu22. I just hope a straight 6 American style model is made!

I’ve played on a couple of the replacement panels as well. They are very durable. In fact, when I was playing, I forgot that I was even using a plexi panel instead of the metal one.

The flash panel replacement editor will have 7 preset layouts to choose from, including the Capcom USA straight layout. They were all aligned using 300dpi layouts from slagcoin, so they will actually be more arcade-perfect than the stock TE layout.

Not only that, you will be able to drag and drop the joystick and buttons wherever you want on the panel. I am looking forward to seeing what people build with this thing.

(I built the flash editor) :nunchuck:

Dan, I remember Pm’ing you and I never got to properly meet you at Drom’s haha. Perhaps another time

Looking forward to this editor - I’ll probably do something crazy just to do it bahah. Maybe even a 10 button layout (4 for directionals, 6 for buttons) o___o

That editor sounds sick. I’m so hyped right now.

Will the joystick harness holes be adjustable at all as well (in case anybody wants to try to stick a HAPP or fanta stick in there)?

Edit: added question.

Would you guys consider doing normal custom plexi cuts with this app? (smaller ones of course). Say like if I am building an arcade control panel and I need some plexi over it (nothing to huge), I would use editor to place the holes and whatnot on the plexi, its cut, then sent out, then I just use that to drill the holes into the wood, attach plexi, then done.

Just an idea.

I can’t wait for panel replacements. As much as I love my HRAP ex, I tried my friend’s SF4 SE and I definitely think the viewlix layout is more comfortable for me. Now I can get a Viewlix layout on my HRAP.

has anyone tried painting the etches on the black or white plexi? I’m thinking of doing that to make them stand out more.

At this point, the editor only includes a JLF mount. I think Art may be considering different mounts in the future, but he would need to measure and determine the size of the spacers. I’m not even sure a Happ stick would fit in the TE case, because you have to mount them so deep to get them at the proper height.

Art will have to answer that one. I don’t know how flexible he is on custom orders, but I can say that the custom replacement editor will be limited to the TE and HRAP 2/3/EX templates… for this initial launch. (You could always design your wooden panel around a TE template though)

I had received the Top Loaders about 1-2 weeks ago.

I gotta say, they are VERY convenient to have installed. My T5 Hori is much easier to take apart now and i dont need pliers to tighten the nuts.

Danmartigan:

Yea, my questions kinda tied together. If Art doesn’t do a custom plexi cut, I was thinking have just putting the TE template into the wood, but hopefully being able to install a happ stick. We shall see when these roll around. Can’t wait.

You know what you could do, is mount the Happ stick below the wood panel, and use a 28mm button hole for the joystick to come through the plexi. The editor is pretty flexible that way. Edit: it’s up now, go wild!
