Here is my rendition of Kyo. Its very much the same from kof 99’ with slightly longer hair. Maybe for CvS3?

Excellent work clarkspark. You are definitely a very talented artist. The Ryu one was the only one I didn’t think was tight, but that’s because of a difference in taste…it’s nevertheless an excellent drawing.
I’ve got a few questions, because I’m inspired to pic up art now.

How old were you when you started drawing? I ask this because I’m 20, and they say it’s harder to learn new things as you get older

How long have you been drawing? This is just a curious question. It doesn’t matter to me how long it takes to get at a competent level; just matters that I get there.

Did you take art classes, or are you an art major, or anything of the sort where you had to be in a classroom environment? Or did you just learn from watching others and reading on your own (I personally stink at learning things on my own).
I particularly like your use of color (phasing from one color into another like the moutains and sky in the eagle picture) and texturing for the black-and-whites (the cowboy picture).
Anyhow, I’ve been enough of a fanboy for one post. Keep up the excellent work. Oh, and instead of Ryu and Kyo, let’s see some Guile and Iori :p.

I first started drawing since I was born:lol: Its true, Its true, Its damn true. As far as being older and learning new stuff, I have to say that if you try hard enough and dedicate time into it you should be able to learn quickly. I’ll explain in a minute…

Now this is an interesting question. My philosophy: School Sucks!:lol: Seriously though, I never went to school for drawing or took any type of art class. Now I’m sure these classes do help and I don’t deny that I don’t know everything about drawing like perspective, composition, colors, anatomy, etc. But I feel that its all up to the person’s taste. For instance, who is your favorite artist? What artist inspires you to draw? (Two completely different questions…) Now what you do is buy anatomy books and learn where these muscles and structures are, then draw them so much that when you draw a picture without those books you’d be able to instinctively draw these into the drawing. Also looking at your favorite artist you’ll see where you’d like to be and try to be better. Through this I have been able to improve with each drawing. Sometimes I take a break(a few months) When I try to draw again, I refresh myself by looking at anatomy and perspective books. I don’t copy but Its ok to copy at first. It helps familiarzing yourself of how things should look. Hope this helps.
The eagle painting was done in oils. That was my fifth oil painting, the first being the ninja painting, 2nd being the 5 ninja/dragon painting, Now those were fun I posed for most of the black hooded ninjas:lol:
It is a little easier to blend colors with oils. And the cowboy pic was drawn then applied textured clear acrylics. I almost started to paint it but I ended up liking it in bw. I prefer bw over colors but thats just personal tastes:p

SFMC and I played a total of 5 games, excellent matches except the last one. I picked the worst people. I forget who mostly. But I know that picking Joe as my last character vs his m.bison was a mistake.:rolleyes: I was having too much fun so I varied my team too much. Anyways he won 3 of the five matches. Until next time, of course.
