That idea can die a thousand deaths. It doesn’t need to come back because that’s what made the show initially more awkward than it had to be. Once that shit stopped the show got immensely better.
I’m still blown away Amell can realistically portray 5-6 different personality shifts like that.

I think it’s awesome that someone that could be portrayed as a stereotypical character has many different layers to a character. Amell took the writing and did a good job. There are times where I legit feel sorry for Oliver. The acting got so much better from the last part of season 1 and was really good on season 2.

Not even joking. I’m rewatching Season 1 now. Sure, the writing was a bit stilted and they tried to lay so much groundwork in two or three episodes, but there’s not really any excessive monologuing. There’s the usual “I must right my father’s wrongs”, but that’s just part of Oliver’s initial obsessions at the start of the series.
I gotta see some examples of what you’re all crying about.
So, I’ve been binge watching Arrow (thank you based Netflix) and I’ve gotten up to S2E12 so far. This show is pretty damn legit.
Points of notice from my perspective; Black Driver is blacktastic, Felicity is FOINE, any scene with Slade is awesome, I’m thinking Walter is Ra’s Al-Ghul for no good reason at all but it’s probably far-fetched, everything about this show is pretty damn good. I actually prefer slightly thicker Laurel vs. diet pill Laurel though but I’m too bust staring at Felicity anyway to really mind.
I’ve also been reading the thread as I go through the episodes, these comments are gold.

*I wonder if anyone will have Batman using the cool voice-changer in a future movie…? It would seem to make perfect sense for that character too, but apparently no one ever seriously considered it. Besides, it would be much more intimidating if you have a giant bat-costume freak of a “hero” with that distorted voice, sounding like a demon…which would add that much more to the fear in the hearts of the badguys.

It’s not Nyssa guys, come on. Why the hell would she wait five months after she had already rejoined the League? Besides, Nyssa would sooner gouge her own eyes out than willingly kill Sara, even under orders from Ra’s and this doesn’t seem like his style to begin with.

that haircut is something you see alot in martial arts girls/kendo girls. not sure if that was done on purpose…but knowing this show it mighta been in the back of their mind.
