Laurel hooked up with Tommyâs best friend within the week that they parted ways, and he ran into a crumbling building to save her life⌠I wonder if he will make a return as his character has been somewhat of a joke. Props to Malcolm for having some degree of success, even in defeat.
He wasnât stupid for breaking up with her, I mean why would you stay with a woman when you know that she is pining for someone else. The fact that she tried mending bridges with Oliver ( and slept with him) soon after vindicated his decision. It was perhaps the most manly thing he did throughout the series. Where he fucked up was crawling back to her, and (latest episode) sacrificing his life for her sake.

Tommy got crushed by rocks and left the love of his life in the hands of his best friends⌠seasons from he will be a villain working behind a mask ( everyone will think it is pops), when it comes off he will tell Oliver ââItâs because you let Laurel dieââ.
Seriously though I think Laurel will end up dead in a few seasons time. I canât really see her character going any where, but I can see her death being a source for development. I also have doubts as to whether Tommyâs death will stick, the series strays from what is realistically possible ( Deadshots bionic eye functioning better than a normal eye + device that can create a 5km Earthquake) so I donât think it is completely out of the questioned for him to be revived by some subsidiary of his fatherâs company.
Laurel would have that possibilityâŚif she werenât the goddamn Black Canary, Green Arrowâs main love interest and this is his show. Again, youâre just as likely to see Mary Jane die within a Spider-Man show.
The ONLY reason theyâd ever kill her off, would be to do some fake kill off to turn her into Black Canary.
And TommyâŚreally shouldnât be revived. Heâd really have nowhere to go if he was revived. At most heâd be pissed Ollie did kill his father and didnât tell him, but thatâs easily excusable. And weâd all just be waiting for his potential Heel Turn again. Having them pull a twist on us allowing him to go out as a good man was well done by the writers.
I think it would be better if Tommy remained dead, but at the same time him being revived is something I see as a possibility. Also Laurel is supposed to be the Black Canary? Where was this stated?

Tommy was straight up beta the entire season, but he went out on a good note. And far be it for me to mock the dead, but dat whiff was hilarious.
Laurel and Ollie gonna feel guilty as hell over Tommy dying. That plus an obvious explosion in crime in the Glades from the earthquake are gonna keep Ollie in the suit.
Island Adventures with Slade, Shado, and Bro-Ollie gonna be hilarious, but Iâm officially more interested in the present storyline.

The only person that we know what became of them post-island is Ollie himself.
Good finale to an impressive first season. I think Arrow had more story and character progression in one season than Smallvilleâs first three seasons.
I wished they killed Laurelâs dad though. Him finding out about Felicity was so lame.
