This last episode really bought sara back into my mind. And it dawned on me, how could any of them possibly work with merlin. He is the reason sara is dead… Thea unknowingly doing it can’t be enough to give that a pass right?
At the very least laurel should be trying to stab Malcolm Everytime she sees him. It should even be a thing where she keeps trying and even tho he avoids it, she’s just like "never gonna stop "
Laurel doesn’t know the extent of Merlyn’s hand in Sara’s death. Everyone else though despises him and Ollie’s only going to him in desperation (stupid desperation since I don’t think anything Merlyn could teach Ollie would help against Ra’s Al Ghul).
The same reason Supes teams up with Luthor, or the X-Men team up with Magneto. Teaming up with your archenemy is well-documented.

This is chess, not checkers. Meryln has proven he always has a backup plan, and while i dont know what ollie could learn from meryln in this show that would put him over the edge to defeat ras, considering merlyn shouldnt be able to beat ras, i can accept for the sake of the show, that ollie wants to get what he can out of him before taking him out. I understand the idea is to learn from one who learned from the master, and ollie by default is better than merlyn, so his training might give him the edge over ras, but eh.
Also, ollie is a big pussy these days, so he wouldnt take out merlyn if he could, and merlyn knows that.
The real question is why no one has told thea whats good yet. There is little to no reason she shouldnt know about merlyn and her. Maybe they are just waiting until ollie gets what he needs from merlyn, and they find a way to neutralize him so thea doesnt waste good episodes on revenge missions against her father.
It really is uber messed up how they offed Sara. Seriously. Not only did Merlyn kill Sara for his own selfish reasons, but it didn’t amount to anything. Ollie lost to Ra’s, which mean Ra’s is still going after Merlyn, Thea, AND Ollie.
Nah its the other way around. Now that Arrow fought Ra’s, Merlyn is gonna go after Ra’s and the LOS.
So the flashbacks are taking center stage for the first time since the Odyssey.
