How is this game incomplete? This game is more complete than any of the sf4 games. Are the sf4 titles incomplete? Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t this game have just as many characters as AE, just as many features, and even more, and it was available with the first version? So we got a shitty color edit mode with no options. Doesn’t make it incomplete. I mean, if you really feel you didn’t get your $60 worth due to the game being incompletea and missing stuff, yet sf4 up to Ae is feature rich, then I dunno what to say(this is the common argument)
I dunno, everyone is on this hate Capcom bandwagon, and I think the reasons are not very valid, to me
dudley has a fast ass walk speed, can combo c.mp xx ex mgb lol. he lost ex duck and c.fp into s.rh link. His super also hits all the way now even if you tag them out the air you get the full animation. Other than that if he still has c.mk problems against characters he’s done. Especially in this game where you get more than a c.mk xx fb lol.
That’s the other problem too, fools are getting hyped for these characters by messing with the hack, which will only disappoint you since you know when the characters will launch, there will most likely be a re balance. And also considering the leaked characters are unfinished and will be massively tweaked… I’m gonna ignore the hack. I see the character leak roster like any other game…an upgrade 9 months down the road
Other than scramble mode which is incredibly fun the game is so ass. It just feels boring as hell. If it wasn’t for the tekken characters I wouldn’t even play. Plus everyone is going to be playing rufus rolento ryu lol. Oh and i doubt there will be many changes to the dlc characters they feel too complete and i doubt capcom would change them until after they are released. I mean this brilliant development team couldn’t find the kazuya glitch or be smart enough to know that if you put something on the disc people are going to be able to figure out how to get to them or at least know they are on the disc.
The vita version gets the whole game for one price. We pay extra for the same content. I am fine with dlc when it is used to lengthen a games lifespan, but this is simply withheld content. That is what I mean by incomplete. They made a whole game, and then cut it up. Do they have the right to do it, yes. Do I like how they chose to do it that way, definitely not.
Previous Capcom games, with their multiple releases, were usually a matter of revisions as time went on to keep some life in their franchises. With this game, they have pretty much planned out the revision prior to releasing anything for the sole purpose of increasing profits. If they make some content that isn’t already on the disc in a year or two and then put a dlc price tag on it, then I am fine with that.
@ Tdot:
Yes, if they did not expose their practice, I would be ignorant and not feel the need to complain. But it is on the table now, and I feel like Capcom deserves the scorn from their consumer base.
Also, let me say, we don’t even know how much they are going to charge us for the characters.
Jeo. The argument makes no sense. You call Capcom shitty for not finding kazuya infinite glitch, other glitches and infinites. Yet mvc3, which I assume you like a lot, had a lot of glitches and infinites found first week. But that’s ok?
There’s no consistency in that argument. It’s basically boiled down to “if I hate the game, then there is no excuse for these stupid bugs. But if I like the game, I ignore those very same problems that came from the very same developer”
I actually love the game alot, I haven’t tried out 2v2 yet and it makes me super jealous to hear that it’s fun.
speaking of which is anyone hosting tonight?
I think I read somewhere that it’s 20 bucks. But, 12 characters + rebalance for $20 > SSF4, 10 characters + rebalance for $40. Granted they added new online modes, but I think looking at the Vita release as a “Super” version of SFxT is a good way to look at it.
If the content wasn’t on the disc already, the amount of data that would have to be downloaded and stored would necessitate another disc release, which would most likely bump the price back up to $40 due to distribution costs and stuff.
And I still remember the big uproar about Super and how everyone was mad about it not being DLC. Capcom’s reasoning was that Vanilla, the architecture of the game wasn’t designed with DLC in mind and so they had to rework the game and release it on a separate disc. They’re doing the exact opposite with SFxT and are still catching flak for it, that sucks.
Ok 20 bucks. Seriously. What’s wrong with that? Tsumuji nailed what my rebuttal was gonna be. We paid 60 for vanilla sf4, and even Mvc3. And paid 40bucks for added characters down the road, happily. Same thing here, except its onthe disc, which dramatically reduces the time needed to dl the update, and saves Capcom hundreds of thousands of dollars, and the update costs half as much.
Ok so vita gets all of it for a cheaper price. Big whoop, they also have to wait 9 additional months to even play the game, period. And then to play 2-4 player requires more vitasand copies of the game, and I don’t even know if there’s online play, and you got yourself a more honors version of the same game. In the end, whether its on disc or not, the outcome is no different on playing new characters. We’ve been dealing with it since 1992 since snes sf2, and its cheaper now.
Maybe I should complain about being an early adopter of buying a $600 ps3. I should be mad cuz 2-3 years later, people got it for half the price and larger hard drive space. Same thing.
It’s ultimately the price you pay for being an early adopter, for any product you buy. No different here
Jeo, I read your deleted post anyway(yay admin powa!) And fair enough argument. As long as you didn’t give mvc3 a pass, which was what my argument was about with your statement.
Unfortunately, that’s the flaw of having deadlines,
Dickrider, I can’t see jin over head at all lol! My Jin is still better I’m not stupid and spam that stance Jin has. Haz is a fraud! He’ll never have the best trish LMAOL.
Jeo your banned fuck off, if you come over ill call the cops too!
Tsumuji: Dudley’s best pokes got lvl2 focused all day so the fact there is no focus will make him better. Plus everyone has herp derp s.jab pressure lol.
…A good anti jin strat is to stop your poke when its unsafe and jump straight up the same way you bait gief 360’s… jin should lose like 400+ life everytime he tries to counter stance into punch. His flying kick from the stance also is anti air only! It won’t hit you while you’re on the ground.
It’s not throw invincible nor is his counter either, I just threw his ass all the time when
I suspected it( which was ever wake up lol). I should have played it like I play Ken and just neutral jump too. I was just mindfucked with the overhead plus I dont have a real solid second character. Just shit I haven’t seen yet(gimmicks)
