I was thinking about changing up how the player cards looked for the new season(The information on them mostly). I would like them to be static instead up changing every week and since the points are already on the leaderboard, it is kinda redundant. Some people were saying to put quotes and/or nicknames on them so I might go with that.

Another thing, does anybody care about the true skill ranking? It doesn’t have any bearing on who gets the money or anything, but I saw it more of a tool for those who don’t normally get points to judge how they do. I know Alonso likes keeping up with it, but doing for one person when there’s 5 games…yea. I don’t mind too much doing it, I just don’t wanna waste my time.

@Rick: It was Animated Nick(Bikos) that teamed up with Andrew so he gets the point for SFxT not SNK

Thanks again to everyone that came out on Sunday.

As we mentioned, we are hosting the same UMVC3 and SFXT tourneys this Sunday the 6th and then we have a SFXT tourney at Bookmans Mesa on Wednesday the 9th and SFXT at Bookmans Tucson next Saturday the 12th.

… and then something at the club on Sunday the 13th

… and then SoulCalibur V at Bookmans Phoenix on Friday the 18th

… and then like four more events before the end of the month

Tdot: I am a huge fan of true skill, I think it is a really interesting stat to include. I think one use for it would be in the event of 2 players or more tying at the end of the season for points. Like if X and Y both tie for 3rd, ideally you could have some fight for it, but if one player is unavailable, then I think going by the true skill rating is a good way to decide who gets the prizes for 3rd.

I really liked the system and kept up with it until it stopped getting updated. How exactly are you calculating it? Is it a program or are you just using a calculator and doing it by hand?

Wow, I didn’t put up the results for the ranbat. I’ll do that tonight.

It’s a program that some guys in the Northwest made and use for their ranbats. It works well for smaller tournaments, but with the 40-50 people we get for marvel it definitely gets tedious I meant to make a better version of this during the break, but didn’t. Muji, you’re a programmer too. You should help me out with this.

Good to know others like it. Like I said, I’m down for keeping up with it. Just making sure people were using it.
