@Zane, that is true – but Paul’s is just as good. I’ve seen Paul do that KOF cross up thing where you cross them up on the hit but land in front still. When you combine it with j. lk it can get real ambiguous – but I don’t like to use j. lk because it leads to situation where it hits too high and someone can mach DP in between the block strings. I haven’t had a chance to try it it, but I hear that you can high block Rufus dive kick and mash DP in between too.
@Sabre: I’m not feeling demoman. You have any advice as to why I’d use it instead of just use cr. mk xx smasher/mortar instead? Fierce OverHead into demo man is kind of bogus as you can mash jab in between the OH and the sweep kick (although it works because people don’t see Paul that often.) If I go with an OH I like to use f+mp instead since it doubles as a frametrap and leads to ground bounce on counter hit.
One thing that sounds interesting is I think you’re saying that fierce OH is ex special cancelable? Whoa… whoa, what? Now I can see where the demoman mix up might be a bit more intersting if that’s true.
How well does slasher hk work in tag cancels? Do I have to make sure to tag cancel on the last hit of the slasher that way it doesn’t mess with the juggle counter reset on tag?
Yeah you can hammer punch(f+fierce) into Phoenix smasher. So there is your mixup. One option is unsafe, the other is safe. I use demoman, outside of hammer punch use, when I condition ny opponent to block high in certain situations. It’s a safe attack, and leads to good damage if in the corner, you can juggle after it.
J.forward is great, but like zaine said, mishimas have a better one, as do a couple others. Either way, its still great.
Shredder, you can cancel on first hit, it won’t screw with juggle points. Matter f fact, if you use rh shredder as the final juggle point, it will only hit one time, but if you tag cancel it, it will hit for all 3 hits, same thing happens with juri pinwheel. It’s better than lunge knee cuz its sets up your partner better, anywhere on screen.

Man, Bawls and Red Octane tourneys…good ol’ days, when men played real games, and i still sucked. Also, 16 player Mario Kart with 4 LAN’d GameCubes was the shit.
I really really miss 16 player Mario kart until 8am in the morning at raffs. I’m not gonna lie, those were some of the most fun gaming moments I ever had. And that’s why double dash is best Mario kart. Just cuz of 16 player and teams. Too fun
I miss the heyday of LAN gaming in general. I played a lot of Counter-Strike (beta 5/6, 1.0) and Q2/Q3 LAN tournaments back in my high school days. So much fun.

I wonder if gems are still gonna be banned at Evo now that the tournament patch is confirmed to be released soon. I’m still not completely certain of the effect they have on the game, but it’s fun strategizing and building combos based on their activation. Gives it a bit of a personal feel, I like that.
My 360 had about $200 in games bought with my XBL account and charged to my debit card, which I didn’t do, so I claimed fraud and they took control of my XBL account for about 1 month.
This happened twice, the 2nd time was for having all my XBL player points fraudulently used.

Oh my god I love this team. I just spent the better part of the last two days figuring out how to combo into a jamming bomb/snap off of any hit or throw, anywhere on screen… except Modok’s air forward throw because that is pretty much impossible. But all of these combos except for one net me two cubes so I can have my big shield on the incoming mixup.
Dok/Coon/Strider has some of the crazies synergy I’ve seen for a MODOK team.
Do you guys meet for group sessions other then the dated tournaments? I really want to put my self out there and level up with this scene, but it looks like my job doesn’t want me to game on Fridays and Saturday nights lol.
