Does this game have both the PS2/Dreamcast Arranged tracks and the arcade originals? It seems to only have the console Arrange versions unless I’m looking in the wrong place.

Most of the new OE tracks were really bad, especially Makoto’s and Q’s, in my opinion. Hideki Okugawa should’ve been re-hired to remix the originals, not that Viklund guy!

Edit: Yeah, re-hire Hideaki Okugawa please!

The new menu music makes me want to chew furniture and slap my wife.

The menu music is the only piece of music of the new OST that I like. Rest are ass.

At first I hated it the remixes but they all grew on me except for Jazzy NYC(Think i’m starting to like that one too)

I hated them at first but now Remy,dudley,ken,Sean/oro Necro/12,Hugo have changed my mind and are on my ipod now

“Knock you out” sounds horribly repetitve to me now, the character select screen mix is pretty good.

I switched out the “Kna kna Knock you out” and character select screen mix with the OG ones FIRST chance I got…

Straight garbage…

just out of curiosity but is the Arcade version of the themes not in this game

Correct

doesnt matter but why the hell would they remove those themes? i love Ibuki dudley makotos alex more on the arcade version :frowning:

Elena’s, Ibuki’s, Remys, and Sean/Oro’s,and Uriens are decent/good the rest i don’t to the originals/arranged. But Q’s theme is the worst offender its horrid he fucked that one up hard.

i hope they offer the arcade originals in the next or future dlc’s too…

I don’t think the remixed songs are that bad, its best to think of them as separate songs and not as remixes imo. Also, I prefer listening to them when I play the game and not on youtube, thats how I am anyway.

i hoped they put this one

I’m honestly taken aback by the seemingly huge backlash the new OST has received. Then again, the remixes are largely a very different direction with tunes that players have grown to love for over a decade, and I suppose I haven’t been ingrained in that generation enough to feel as strongly as others about these new releases. For the most part I enjoy the mixes a fair bunch, some more so than the originals even (eg. Chun-Li, Hugo, Q, Remy and Urien), even if there is a bit of hit and miss for me. I agree Simon Viklund has done better collective works before, but watevs.

Chun’s remix is boss but overall too many tracks sound exactly the same; which is terrible considering how much diversity was in the original.

Where’s the “remixes were awful” option?

I like the original, I like the arranged, I like other remixes I’ve heard, but these are terrible.

where is the option “i dislike both OST”

It’s not that people were “used to the originals” it’s just that in most people’s opinions, the new ones are generic untss untss bad remixes.

And they don’t have the 3rd Strike flavor, like a lot of youtube remixes have.
