Funny thing about this video game thing: I’ve gotten both laid and blowjobs before going to sessions, I’ve jerked off at night and woken up in the morning to bang the shit out of my girlfriend. It seems that video game and porn are adding to my sex life.

The article is pretty good but I’d like to expound on it from a different angle - addiction.
Here’s an interesting talk about porn addiction:
Basically, we evolved to seek out novelty (sleep with as many different women as possible), which is what porn provides. Our body rewards us with dopamine when we see a new woman. However, a caveman wasn’t going to see thousands of naked women in his lifetime. Guys today can easily jerk off to that many women now. Unfortunately, because we didn’t evolve to handle that kind of stimulus, just like all addictions it reshapes our brain so we need moar porn and weirder porn to get the same dopamine hit. Our neuroplasticity is at its highest level when we are younger (early teens), so kids today who grew up with high speed internet are particularly suspectible.
Symptoms include erectile dysfunction when trying to sleep with a real woman. Their brains have wired them to get dopamine hits for voyeuristic behavior (which is what porn is), and not for real sex. So they can’t even get it up.
Gaming addiction operates on a similar mechanism. The end result is that dopamine hit. Games such as MMOs where there is a grind and a drop rate operate the same way a casino does, where they hook a user based on small payouts every so often after doing the same repeated activity. This is why koreans will die playing video games. They are hooked.
I’d say that there is a large subset of game addicts and porn addicts that intersect. So you have the socially awkward nerds who play MMOs that don’t know how to talk to women, who then even if by some miracle go on a date with one, won’t be able to have sex with her. epic lulz.
So essentially, the newer generation does not know how to have normal real life interactions, how to be in a loving relationship, because they have grown up trolling 4chan. They prefer the anonymity of jerking off to women online and trolling the internets.

^ Yeah heard about most of the stuff you mentioned. Apparently achievements/trophies give us a dopamine dosage. I don’t play MMO’s but I assume the rewards from grinding is what causes the addiction. People can get addicted to anything TBH it isn’t breaking news but at the end of the day meditation has been shown to curb and even stop addictions aka rewiring the brain to a normal state.

That “bitch” looks like a dude and by looks I mean it probably really is a dude. These dudes are examples of what I call failing the genetic lottery. You see, not everyone is born GODlike like ElderGOD. What these genetic failures failed to realize is that hating on video games doesn’t make them any less gay. The problem with games and porn is that they give people rewards without them actually having to work for them. If your brain thinks you’re saving the world and having sex with tons of hot women then why would it want you to stop? These kinds of articles unfairly single out men and don’t really mention the female equivalent of this problem: “I’m an average looking girl but I want multiple hot guys to fight over me for my love and be with only me forever” (Twilight).
