Looking at these…really tempting…
ditto. i dont mind helping out. just holla homie
Yeah $2 is below my cost. I’m actually losing money on it. Plus i’d have to spend time soldering it. So I’ll let em go for $2 if i dont have to do any work basically… i’ll break even at $3 each if you want the pins soldered…
Sorry i’ll update that… that was the old price…
They’ll come with the header pins… longer than regular ones are needed… i’ve got a crapton of them
Thank you my good sir. I will be ordering soon.
Good deal Purp. How is rewiring your Akuma stick coming along? I still need to rewire El Guapo since I replaced the Leo with a Leo2, but can’t find the time to do it!
I haven’t started yet… I still have to re-wire my joystick table too… been busy doing house renos…
besides, i got a ps360+ proto coming my way… i’m looking forward to re-building my defective TE-S sticks (no thanks to madcatz)
sorry for my poor English
Thanks helpful

no video yet but i do have old pictures and i do mean old because i did re-wire it but about to re-wire it again soon. This was my first time for this sfxt but do not mind the extra wire or excessive cuts. lol i wasnt really measuring since its my dummy madcatz pro stick. Same for the spaghetti cables for the te kitty. I ran into issues and backtracked too many times so i just finally got it to work and didnt touch it lol

Thats great pics Mufasa! Thanks dude! So I think I am almost ready to get this done. So all I would need is a
TEkitty + TE-S harness
SparkyJR USB
AE2s
Is that right?
Thanks!
buttons to put the AE2 in and a drill to drill your holes using PurpleArms’ templates. But other than that you are on the money. or even a sparky jr pwm will work too since those have screw down terminals. since I think you want to do as less soldering as possible
Don’t forget to watch the AE2 install video on how to put it into the button… its pretty simple…
so to get the $2 price i have to order at least 16? i only need 8. lol
edit: eff it, placed an order for 16.
Yeah… to help me get rid of the rest of the AE2s… great deal for custom stick builders! lol
your leds are packaged and ready to go… nice and easy when i dont have to assemble pins =D
the way i do it is to insert the pins through the top side (long end first)… then solder from the underside of the PCB, and use flush wire cutters to snip off the headers… i’ll make a quick dirty video tomorrow to show you the technique
hey mike, package came in today! will you be uploading that vid? how do i separate the header pins from each other?
oh i took a couple of pics… will post them in a bit… i lost the tripod for my camera so i couldnt take a vid… for now, just take a pair of pliers and snap the headers… each set of headers should be snapped into either 3’s or 4’s… you need one 3 and one 4 pin for each arc eye…
ok cool, they separate pretty easily.
Ok basically this is what you need to do… first you want to stack your arc eyes and header like this:
this is to help align the pins… the black pin housing is in between the arc eyes like a reverse oreo cookie…then solder from the underside
http://i579.photobucket.com/albums/ss240/purplearms/IMG_2606.jpg
Now take the arceye that was not soldered off of the pins…
using a pair of flush cutters (my blue handle ones are shown in the pic), break the 4 pin header in half by snipping it in the middle (shown in pic) this makes it easier to cut the headers off…

Now use the flush cutters to cut in between the black pin header housing, and the pcb… the cuttters should now be able to cut under the black housing… the side with the 3 pin housing can just be cut like that… you dont need to cut those housings… this is a pic showing how they slide off the pin headers while snipping them between the header and the pcb…

Oh yeah if you dont have any spare arc eyes left, you can use the drill template instead to help align the pins in place of the extra pcb =D
^^ thanks, that was helpful. i’m gonna get started on these now.
installed them last night in sanwa obsc.

now just waiting on that sparky jr. usb. thanks mike!
