Arcana CRACK 3 - Weekly netplay ranbats!

Although it’s not confirmed, it almost definitely will be.

Very rare that a company will go out of its way to make the game region free for 360.

Also, the genre listed on AmiAmi: Genre: Heartful 2D Fighting Action

=o

Since this game is coming soon, I think I’ll start doing commentated streams on Arcana matches for some discussion and analysis (have been doing the same for Melty).

Probably Thursdays at 9PM (EST) for 30mins to 1hr; depends on how much footage I can find.

I also like how SRK didn’t bother to add the AH3 SBO results on the front page.:shake:

It’s not surprising, considering how much of a idiot you can tell he is just by reading the frontpage article on AH3 at TGS from couple of days ago. Anything he writes is extremely biased and full of false information for anything not SSF4 or MVC3 related.

He should stop writing ‘articles,’ really.

Hmmm…

“You’ll notice right away that the game lacks widescreen support, and is instead using animated borders.”

=/

O-en lost to Peso’s Scharlachrot, but then Buchi took out his Elsa teammate and also Peso in a close match right before top 4.

I know Peso’s team and Takaaki’s tem both got 5th.

So close!!!

I was expecting Petra in the top 5, at least.

Akane in 1st place is good shit though.

the best fighting games are played in 4:3 anyway.
widescreen is overrated and doesn’t make a 2-D game look better, just wider, lol. xD
Anyways the animated borders are a nice touch for widescreen users.

Fuck, you guys are being so weird. If you ever have an addition/correction/update for his frontpage posts, just PM him and he always makes the change.

Also, the second sentence for his SBO results frontpage article specifies that the list is a work in progress. For example, KOF02UM still hasn’t been added yet. If you check it again, you’ll notice that the AH3 results are on there now.

yeah, if you take your time to pm him he will correct the info, its not like he has to know everything of every fighting game that is published

That Elsa player was Henboku using some random name.

Stupid whiny Yoriko. Eliminated one of my favourite players. :annoy:

The thing is, Keits got his info wrong: the game supports a widescreen playing field as well. It just wasn’t shown much on the stream. =/

On the other hand, I’m pleasantly surprised that the front page mentions Arcana at all. Overall, I think it’s better than nothing.

I think one match that Tono obvioiusly had a lot of experience with against Andou who seemed to have no experience playing against it (he literally just kinda ran into tyr walls) shouldn’t be the judge of soft-bannage. Sure it’s good against Cathy, but it’s not like its auto 8-2 matchup just from picking the arcana. Tono had amazing gameplay before he even started using that super, using all these crazy instant overheads and whatnot.

And yeah, Banbanban is mad good. There’s a buncha really good players in kansai tho, so its hard to be like “this person is #1” for sure.

Kansai’s main problem is that most kansai players play the same set of characters. Lotta Heart/Cathy/Akane/Elsa etc. Considering our playerbase is decently sized, theres not that much variety. Oh well.

When they fixed Kira grabbing Cathy off the ground with 623 they removed the only 8-2 matchup in the game involving Tyr.

speaking of match-ups, are there bad match-ups in this game between characters or more to do with the arcana being used with specific characters?

you can make up for your weakness with the arcana you choose

Keits copied the main post of the SBO results thread, which didn’t have AH3 to begin with because no one cared to update about it in the thread. After seeing the main SRK page, I went to the results thread and linked them to Bill307’s post with the AH3 results and they added them. Then, I PMed Keits the results, he thanked me and added them as well.
Take the productive approach instead of the salty jerk approach.

Am happy that 1st place team had a Konoha player. I’m so hyped to play AH3.

Learned a ton of things from players in japan.
Was mainly playing in ikebukuro (sp?) and mikado, wound up meeting most of the other ah qualifiers
during a ranking battle thursday.
Overall, had a lot of fun.
The AH3 port is pretty nice, liked watching the characters on the side portraits in 4:3 while playing.

SBO wise… got peaced out by Kyouken (Zenia) and Shirogoma (Angelia)

I’ve never actually ordered anything from Amiami before, so I was just trying to find out what the shipping price would be for EMS to the US and it says that packages up to 0.3kg have a charge of 1200 yen if shipping to the US. Now, PS3 game cases aren’t known for weighing over a pound, but could the packaging make it weigh that much and force me to pay for additional shipping charges then?

I’m just trying to get a good idea of how much money I’ll need come January and I’d like to go with EMS since it’s the fastest shipping method available, but I keep seeing things mentioned on their site about, “small packages” costing 2000 yen and whatnot. Anyway, if anybody has ordered a PS3 game from them with EMS shipping and could give me an idea of how much I’m probably going to have to spend on S&H, could you please clear up the confusion for me?

That would be great.
