I’m considering dropping the coin on the VLX Diamond when I get back from El Paso. Was pricing stuff out for a custom, and for everything it’s probably gonna cost me over $400 after all is said and done.

only part that is a bummer is it seems the stick surface is extremely scratchable. the cloth that came with it leaves scratches (well really anything does), so I barely even use it now for fear of getting it dirty enough to need cleaning. For some reason this seems to be less of a big deal with my regular VLX.<div><br></div><div>Has anyone found a good cleaning cloth that doesnt mess up the surface of the Plat VLX?</div>
I’m curious to know what type of cloth Hori includes to clean the surface of the VLX. If I had my druthers (yeah, I’m old enough to say it), I’d probably go with a low-lint microfiber cloth for cleaning.
I’m really thinking of ordering a VLX Diamond. I think it may be hard to justify the cost though. I do want one, but I don’t know how much I’d actually use it compared to my other more portable sticks(Dual modded TE and a HRAP 2 SA). I mostly use my HRAP 2 at home for PS2 and PS3, and my TE is mostly used for xbox 360 and travel. Where would the VLX fit into all of this?
I absolutely love the design, but I feel like it will just end up sitting on a shelf.
I do want a stick to dedicate to SHMUPs though. Maybe that will be the VLX’s calling.
