Decided to make thread here, since someone suggested it would be better since many people play ST but don’t check the ST forums that much. and It’s more focused within our geographical area…

Right after we decided to start ranbats last year, My setup broke. When I got it fixed, I could no longer Go to A&C on Wednesdays because I have class then (Still do.)

Lets discuss possibilities for meetups in 2013:

  1. Brettcave (Sundays) (Free)
    Obvious choice, since we’ve been doing it since I got my setup fixed. These happen in short notice though, so I can’t update the first post to reflect these meetings. Also in Mississauga, Long travel if non-regulars want to come.

  1. Seneca Pub (Tuesdays) ($5 I think? I don’t recall or was it free with purchase of food?)
    Well, we went to that tournament in December… What did you guys think about this place? I think it’s pretty good if we can get a CRT every time we show up, food isn’t bad either.

  2. York university (Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Saturdays) (Most likely free, Maybe nominial annual “membership charge”)

Hey, why not? I’m at school anyway, and these are the afternoons which I can stay on campus longer. Especially Tuesdays since I have a few hours of nothing to do while I wait for archery practice to start.

I’m sure I can book a room for our meetings. Worst case scenario we have to register as a club first.

  1. A&C (Wednesdays) ($5)
    This won’t happen until summer (Probably May or later) Since I have class… Downtown though, Big meeting, just off subway.

Someone posted in the Toronto thread saying they wanted to start casuals somewhere along the Yonge University Subway line, I PMed them again, they never got back to me. This was supposed to be on Tuesdays as well.

If you saw my post on the thread in the super turbo forums, You know I posted some ebay listings for ST boards. I bought one more (as a backup incase my current one dies), and am willing to rent it out to people in the GTA area. Anyone interested?

Maybe after I recoup my funds again, I’ll build another supergun as well. By the way, I’m still building and selling these things for under $250. (usually 225-ish) Msg me with what you want for a quote

The huge mess I bring around with me is NOT what i’m selling. I just have that to be able to accomodate REALLY awkward venues so I can make adjustments on the fly.) All the wires and parts can fit inside a case that’s** 6x4x4 inches.**

Once we decide on Locations I’ll start updating this thread with dates and directions. Once we have a regular routine maybe we can start ranbats again.

Some people like to house a supergun in an arcade stick or a retro console like a PS1 If you want to do that that’s perfectly fine with me. If you want the big mess that I have, that’s fine too =)

Just an FYI, A&C is starting up a Friday Fight Night as well to with Mondays & Wednesdays.

If you can guarantee me 8 players or more, we can add ST in Northern Battles #2 on Feb. 16th. It won’t get any stream time (complicated setup) but you’ll get lots of people there that you can probably entice to play the game again.

Hmm a and c is on mondays and fridays too now? Fridays might not be too good monday im free before 4 and after 6 maybe ill leave the board with someone i trust for those 2 hours im gone…

Im in class right now but ive been doing some number crunching because im excited. I found new parts for my supergun design so i might be able to fit it in a case smaller than the 4x4x6 inches (losing customizability of audio ports, but really, who gets a supergun with non-rca audio ports anyway?). Id like to order and test everything but simply dont have the cash. to spare. If you’re. Willing to wait more than a month (2 if you’re not local, as i have to ship it out) Im going to sell the first for $150
+shipping if not local pickup

(basically at cost minus my labour fee) so i can make sure it works. You still get all the support as if you bought it from me for 225. And if after i test the parts and they dont work as well as the old ones then ill send you a supergun using the parts that i know are tried and true.

The $150 doesnt include a case. If you dont want a custom case ill probably use a generic project box from the source/radio shack for $5-10. Or you could not take a case at all and fit it in one yourself.

Edit: 150 may include a case depending on whats available.

Paul, cmon, don’t say that. With respect to HQ Fridays, we do not advertise Capcom games for A&C Fridays. Fridays mostly consists of Smash, KOF, Tekken, All-Stars and believe it or not, YuGiOh. It does not clash with HQ’s casual sessions.

Ive already arranged to get a ride from kevin. My class ends at 4:00 today though. Im lugging my setup to class. So yes. Im bringing the small crummy stick. If you have a problem with that, bring your own damn stick.

Just updated the first post with brett’s address and phone number. Since we’ve already had a couple of meetups there already. Will update with the other addresses when we decide on where and what days to have scheduled meetups. I also have onemore venue im looking into. I have to talk to the owners to see if they allow it.
