Hi, simple question. How do you transport your arcade stick to tournaments or just other places without it getting damaged? (and also easy to carry). You could always carry it in the original box if you bought it (non-custom), but that could be big and bulky especially if you are traveling by public transportation (ie: train, plane, etc.)
my te stick survived a flood and a few knock overs so its good equipment. id just put it in a box and toss it in the car really
air plain might be a bit different, put some cloths around it except for the top knob and id carry 2 just in case hehe.
I have a custom that has literally gone around the word with me. I just wrap it in a sweater and throw it in with the rest of my clothes. I’ve always checked it too.
I’ve never had any problems.

I’ve got the first one and its AWESOME, well worth the $50. look around, you should be able to find a %10-%20 discount code from a tourney stream/somewhere on the innanetz
Just use an old backpack. It’s easy to carry around, comfortable, not too heavy or bulky. Arcade sticks aren’t made of glass, they’re pretty sturdy and well-constructed.

You haven’t had any trouble with damaging the actual stick portion? I’m travelling a lot during the holidays and that’s the concern I have with throwing it in the 'ol north face backpack…
No problem with it. Of course I make sure that I’m not throwing my backpack around and just making sure nothing happens to it. If you’re really concerned about the stick portion, you could put some protective padding around it like some clothes, or a circular piece of cardboard to keep it from damage.

The parts are made to stand up against dozens of people playing on them in arcades all day so outside of something crazy like a car running over it they can handle abuse.

i have a big laptop backpack that fits my Eightarc Fusion stick comfortably, it’s definitely bulkier than a school backpack but I feel pretty good about it
If anyone is looking into modding their stick soon, there is that thread in Tech Talk with the quick disconnect stick so it pops right out, definitely worth having if you’re weary about that sorta thing like I am.
I’m not worried about the buttons, but I travel 3 hours (bus, train, light rail) to get to my buddies house to play and I throw the stick in my backpack that has considerable amount of space and kinda buried under my clothes as well. With all the movement of getting there, I get worried that somehow the stick is moving around in the bag and when I go to play, it’s screwed rendering the trip useless I guess.
