And better anti air hit box can possibly force full animation if it’s a corner thing. We’ll just have to see. For now, this looks more like… Ryu can pick either Ultras against Bison and still have a good clean punish with the meter.

Correct me if I am wrong but isn’t there far more setups for U1 than there is for U2?

U2 setups require 3 bars or a pure guess. It also deeply lessens the threat of reversal or frame trap dp fadc. I don’t see Ryu switching to U2.

A lot of the cast will be harder. That was kinda the point of the patch. I think Cody’s going to be especially tough, because faster walk speed plays well with his CH setups and his good normals. The rest of his buffs are just gravy.

Yun might need it, but I’ll take one or both of them down under 1000 stun. Yun’s up kicks is a bit more punishable this time around and he won’t float off too easy now. Since he cannot FADC his up kicks, I think they’ll let him keep the stun.

So many actually interesting characters are becoming more relevant with v2012 (juri, hakan, cody, gen…); even if Bison still remains solid, I can’t say I’ll be able to justify spending much more time with him.

I think he’s still effective to a great extent, it’s just that how he’s played in style. I’m definitely moving onto more character selections though. Bison will always be the answer when there’s a roadblock in this transition process.

He’ll be solid but I do see him dropping a bit more in tiers. The buffs Bison got basically boil down to the unnoticeable category. Meanwhile Bison’s bad matchups get buffed pretty well and characters we used to have good matchups with might now go even or more have to wait and see there.

I really just wish they have him 110 damage all around on s hk and 120dmg on close sfp. Tho the stun buff on sk is good…didnt even know they nerfed it in ae. thats a pretty big nerf imo.

They should speed up his crouching HP so I can more easily use it as an anti air :stuck_out_tongue:

I actually dont have any issues with C.HP being used as an anti-air. You just have to be more ready to use it then use it at the last sec when someone jumps at you.

funny advice from my buddy that WORKS.

  1. Anti air Jump fierce, don’t afraid and don’t just block, jump fierce them if you feel they are take it lightly as jump in to bison.
  2. charge and ready for cr.fierce, since they gonna anti air your jump fierce, their attack is early possible, so your cr.fierce gonna hit them when they land

its mind game he said, it work, if you jump fierce them before mostly they gonna try to punish you with it, and sometime if they jump and attack early they either eat cr.fierce or st.fierce.

this work really well against jump in happy guile, his air grab is < my cr.fierce and st fierce when I am ready, problem is, you got to be ready otherwise it will whiff.

i dont care how good you are at reactions, you need yomi to use crouch fierce correctly with it’s current start up for anti air

It’s easier offline but yeah the startup on that move is horrible.

i think the i can anti air with it offline WITHOUT yomi against super floaty ass characters like chun li. Otherwise it’s yomi

I do it to a lot of different characters offline notably gief. Online, very little chance.
