Hey, dunno why my opinions get you guys so riled up. I’m not targeting anyone at all, and I’m just pointing out that this whole tourney is a bit too controversial. Gender segregation for a video game tournament? Really now? I think that thread shows I’m not in the minority in thinking this is a little bit silly.
And really, if anything this “side-show” is sort of insulting to female players in general.

Honestly the whole ladies of SFIV tourney is gonna happen anyways no matter how many people post their discontent, so I’ve moved on already. But people are just pointing out that some might get the wrong message from this event. But yea, I think all the issues and controversies are gonna cool down when Evo comes anyway, and hopefully the event runs smoothly.
props to sherry for being the sole female players that still remotely plays the game… you should play more 3s though.

Sherry does play and she doesn’t mind playing in the co-ed tourney because she’s actually interested in the game and not the attention that follows suit when you have OMG GURLS IN DA ARCADEZ!!11 This is of course not necessarily the case with the other girls, but even they gotta admit if the shoe was on the other foot speculation might lead them to the same conclusion.
