Wait Iā€™m confused, which is the good and which is the bad movie?

I fucking hate AC, but thatā€™s because I worked when it was bootlegged and it was shown on the store TV all day long for 4 weeks straight.

First of all, shut up.

Secondly, the movie wasnā€™t a failure by any means. From a cinematography stand-point, it was fucking groundbreaking. Visually, thereā€™s absolutely nothing like it. Also, on a monetary scale, it made about 77 million at the box office, and set all sorts of dumb records. Although I agree there were points in the story that could have been better thought through, and the transition from middle to end was rough, it was still an exciting movie to say the least. So, the only failure I see here, is my comprehension of how you can perceive this movie to be a failure.

I mean, could you elaborate on how you feel this movie failed? Can anyone really, aside from the points I touched on? Regardless of how fervently any of you fucking nimrods disagree, the movie is and has been a success on many different levels:

  1. Itā€™s make a shit ton of money
  2. Itā€™s setting records
  3. Itā€™s critically acclaimed
  4. Itā€™s visually groundbreaking

Iā€™m noticing a trend of people who are ignorantly slandering this movie. Why? Has mainstream media done you all some great disservice? Seriously, jump off the fucking hate bandwagon and open your fucking eyes.

Also, not a smart move to suggest people who like the movie to kill themselves, especially when I just made a post about enjoying the movie myself. Take that emo-douche shit back up north.

meh, whatā€™s wrong w/ unoriginal? storytellingā€™s been around long enough that thereā€™s no truly original story anymore. everythingā€™s a variation of some old classic. itā€™s your prerogative to not like the movie since you place more value in the story, but calling it bad is going too far (just as far as calling it a great movie). i, for one, went in expecting to see some badass sci-fi fantasy visuals and i feel i got my $13 worth.
