Arcade Auction in Seattle: Sat May 8th @ 10AM

Maybe. My name is Julius and I went to Central Kitsap. I grew up in Silverdale/Bremerton.

You must’ve been there for the tail end of Silver Coin. So I guess not.

You should come out to TW if you’re still in the area and say what’s up. I’m not going to TW THIS Saturday, but yeah you should come on through.

I look like this douchebag.

Oh I recognize you. Yeah, I was a pretty quiet kid back in the day, since I was still in elementary school when MvC2 first came out. If you remember a kid that constantly got pummeled at or was just always watching older kids play the versus games pre-2000, that was probably me.

You’re such a douchebag.

This has the potential to be a huge waste of time, or the most amazing impulse buying spree in history.

As a neo geo fiend, I will be there.

They said no Neo Geo stuff…Man looks like i cant get away to go to this…This fucking sucks…

Only things Neo Geo is a lot of 16 game cartridges in the parts area. Not really Neo Geo, but a neo geo Battle Colliseum game is also there.

What do they mean by dirt cheap? I don’t want to show up and be charged $600 for beat up cab and no monitor.

I was told $550 was the most expensive item out there & that was for a twin racer. They said cab are around free to $250 at most…Also freebies like empty cabinets too…

That works for me! So that means that an atomiswave is hidden somewhere in the parts area.

Good shit. Guess we shall see lol.

Does that mean that there’s a CvS2 also somewhere in there? Seeing that it’s old Silver Coin machines?

Kinda sorta related to all of this: but I’d really like to know what led to the fall of the last two Silver Coin locations. Definitely a part of my upbringing in the fighting game community, to know that it just vanished, kinda hit me.

Im hella working until 2pm so it doesn’t look like I’ll be there in time to scoop up any raw fighter cabs…but man, I hope some of you guys take advantage of this! What will happen to anything that isn’t bought btw?

If I could get a decent cab for like 150~ or less I would scoop that up.

What i was told is that if there are no bids, there will be private silent bid at the end. So that you can even win with $5 haha…I think if know one buys its off to the landfill…

Yes, there is an auction at 2:00 with no reserve, and if it’s not gone for free, whatever remains is going to the dump. We will be gald to have the whole SC saga behind us! The fighters are in the 125.00-250.00 range, with a nice Soul Calibur 3 being the high priced one.

How did this go? Did anyone in seattle cop something from here? Still bummed I couldn’t go.

I got two cabinets: a 29" Dynamo cabinet (looks like this: http://share.ovi.com/media/airthrow.public/airthrow.10105 ) which I need to buy a monitor for, but it has everything else, power supply, Capcom Q-sound amp, JAMMA harness, etc. I also need to re-do the control panel, but my racist carpenter coworker has agreed to help me. I’m gonna make a clean control panel and then route it for Sanwa parts.

The second cabinet is some generic kind I haven’t been able to identify, it used to be a Tekken 4. I’m going to probably make it my generic non-fighting game cabinet (I have a Final Fight arcade board already).

I know crashx99 bought some Neo Geo MVS kits (game+marquee etc) for reaaaally good prices, but unless you were at the front of the line when it opened you didn’t get anything because people snatched up the good cabs within the first 35 seconds. Once I saw all the good completed cabs were taken, I ran back outside to see if any of the cheaper fix-em-up cabs outside were worth buying.

BTW both my cabs were 35 dollars each. :karate:

Does anybody have Bill’s phone number?
