I ordered these harnesses in a pack of 20 (but really a pack of 40 since they had plugs on each side) off of eBay for $10. They took 10 days or so to ship from China.
As far the wiring goes, I skipped using Scotch locks and just soldered the wires instead.
On the Arc Eye 3, the pins are as follows: Ground, Blue, Green, Red.
Solder all blues to the blues, greens to the greens, reds to the reds, then each of those directly to the Sparky green, blue and red (respectively), then the grounds from each buttons LED to the corresponding button ground.
I’ll include pics for the next one I finish this week.
I got a foe hammer stick and had them put Leds in it using the Arc Eye 3 button LED’s. They used to all be off and one button would rotate colors now there all on and one rotating off. I read about holding down start button to get in menu but cant see to make it work to change the mode, any ideas what to do?
I just ordered the Remora and 8 ArcEyes3s. Anyone know how long shipping normally take within the US?
And any word if this works with the Cerberus PCB? I really didn’t see anything directly but I know it works with other PCBs so I don’t know why it wouldn’t work. Just wondering if anyone has this hooked up to a Cerberus PCB and tested.
Any links on how to configure the Remora light settings? I’m super new to all of this but from what I’ve read in various threads it shouldn’t be hard to install. Just gonna need help to set it up after the install. Any links to configuration setup instructions would be soooo nice and helpful. I read somethings on here but it seems really confusing. I also looked for vids for instructions but came up empty handed. I wanna know everything that is possible with the Remora. I’m So excited!! Can’t wait to play some Simon on my Fightstight. lol
Thanks for any info.
(I also posted this on the Remora thread I hope that’s alright. Just want some help)
Hey cool mod! Did you have to do any extra steps to getting the Remora to fit in your stxt FightStick Pro? I heard the Remora board was a bit too big and it couldn’t fit below the buttons where the original board sits. I asked because I was planning to install one in the stxt fightstick pro myself.
Thank you.
Sorry again about asking the same question twice. It just seems dead in both threads so I didn’t know if anyone would even see it.
(It’s very quiet in here and there) lol
Yeah, I definitely went to the site. But from what I could tell it’s Toodles site and he was last active on SRK 7 months ago. Not too far fetched to think that might mean I send my money and get nothing in return.
I don’t think these will work with Seimitsu screw-ins, since they use the larger microswitches (which I love more than the small ones, but that’s a whole separate story).
Considering that the ArcEye3s clip onto the microswitch portion of Sanwas and Seimitsu snap-ins, outside of either a) cutting the ArcEye3, b) hot-gluing the ArcEye3 onto the large microswitch, or c) finding some way to fit a small microswitch into a PS-14-KN (all 3 of which are either impractical or impossible, to say the least), I don’t think it’s possible…
Yeah, I thought of those methods but it wouldn’t be practical. Gluing directly to the switch leaves the LED’s too far away from the button shell, cutting the pcb would be a timely mess, fitting a smaller microswitch into a larger hole isn’t going to happen given the sort of plunger pressure it will be under.
Because I was given an unfortunate combination of ArcEye3’s and PS-14-KN’s by my customer. I’m going to have to order in some different buttons for them : (
That’s why I tell my clients to tell me what they want as an end result, and either I’ll give them a shopping list, or I supply/order the parts. It just ends up easier that way.
