ARC EYE 3: LEDs made easy!

Toodles? Purplearms? Anyone else? Can you please reply to the situation below? thanks a lot!

Just wondering, is there any harm if the resistors were already installed into the pcb as it is fully assembled with the resistors.

If it’s not recommended then i can simply remove them. That’s not an issue for me.

Also Toodles you do not mention the _IN line and the FGWidget only has one GND slot. Am i supposed to associate the Ground term you said with the _IN line or do i have to somehow connect all GND pins from Arceye 3 to the GND slot on the FGWidget board?

It is my first time doing a led mod, so i do not have much experience with this.

Thanks for all help anyone can provide to me!

You’ll probably need to bypass the resistors on the LED board… situations like this make me long for hot tweezers

When can I get my hands on one of these

You dont have to remove them; you can try to use them as-is, but it’ll be dimmer than without. If it isnt to your liking, then use a small piece of wire or some solder to short each pair of legs together on the underside of the board. Connect pin 1 to 2, 3 to 4, 5 to 6, etc. Do that for the two 10 pin resistors and you’re good.

Hi Toodles,

I received my order this Saturday, which included two sets of 8 ArcEye3s. However, one of the styrofoam casings only contains 6 ArcEye3s, even though there’s an 8 written on it. I couldn’t find another way to contact you on gdlk.co. Thanks.

Will the ArcEye3’s work with this LED controller?

Yes and no
The PAC is intended for upto 16 single LEDs
You will need to address the RGB lines as individuals to the 16 inputs.
You will be limited to controlling only up to 5 ArcEyes (3 lines x 5 = 15)

Thanks 32teeth. I had a feeling that’s how it would be.

Here’s a follow up question. I actually only want white light. Could I stick all 3 wires into a single output and get white light? I know that’s wasting most of the arceyes potential, but I’m not aware of any alternatives. I want white light, sanwa buttons, and an LED controller that works with LEDblinky software. Finding those three things, to be compatible with each other, has proven a nightmare so far. Am I overlooking an obvious/simple solution?

If you truly only want white light, then forget the Remora + AE3s, and go for Knserts? Knserts only produce white light and are compatible with Sanwas.

Saw this article today and it made me chuckle :stuck_out_tongue:

“When I was a little kid my mother told me not to stare into the sun. So once when I was six I did.” I saw that movie; it doesn’t end well for him.

Anyone know a good way to get Toodles’ attention? I’ve tried through PayPal, posting here and private message. :_(

He seems busy at the moment. I’m sure he’ll get back to you in good time.

Patients Grasshoppa

Im on it.

I’ve gotten around to finishing my SE stick finally… Its fully loaded with PS360+, link, rollies, sanwa JLF…

Will this work with the original TEasy board attached with the seperate Dual Strike pcb?

Yup… simple swap of the quick disconnect terminal, plus a wire from screw terminal for power on TEasy to the screw terminal on Remora…

I just want that white Turbo panel… D:

Hey I love the product so far, I ordered two sets of 8 but with only one of the arc eye’s it doesn’t stay secure to the end of the mircoswitch. Any suggestions? I’ve ended up having to use clear scotch tape to secure it to the button.
