How big do you want it? Momo’s was a really really nice venue with Season’s Beatings. If we have Smash you could definitely cover the venue fee, and they bring most of their own shit. I and (I bet) anyone who was there would pay a $10 venue fee to have a tourney there again if you aren’t confident that $5 will cover it. I talked to one of the guys working there and I could get their contact info from Fugee if you want to explore that.
As far as dates – I thought you were going to do April 28 originally? I posted that the other guy running the C-bus tourney (May 5 or something) should contact you, because he’s trying to plan wayyyy too much for one day anyway, dunno if they even want to do fighters with Halo 2 and GH2 accompanying the PC stuff.
April 21 or 28, or May 5 or 11? Dan’s right, the 14th should be out as well, too close.

I had no clue another tournament was going on that day when I called to reserve the room again. I’m with Ghaleon, if you would change the venue, I’d make the tourney no problem, but as stands I have NOOOO interest at giving the bowling alley a chance to kill my new stick… (/me looks at the heap that is his old stick)

It’s not even at Evo this year. I’m sure a couple SC players will be there though, apparently some Cincy people play.
There will definitely be some of the best VF players anywhere coming to this though (right Sean?), and since DR is there I know VF5 will be in casual.
That bowling alley was OK but I’m sure there’s better options around – ZAP!
I hope you check out Momo’s, John, they seemed pretty eager to do more events.
Just let everyone know, Im not doing this one for sure. That doesn’t mean Im trying to put something together, Im looking into another decent venue, so everyone stay fixed on the forums, I’ll try to get this together as quickly as possible, thanks guys, and sorry about the last venue, next time should be better.

The Cincy tourney that’s going on during April 7th will not have DR on the bill. Game Junkie decided that they wanted to stick to 2D fighters for that tourney.
Nevertheless, I was checking this out, & that’s awesome that C-bus is having another tournament, but having it on the same day as the Cincy tourney would be a bad idea.
If it’s gonna be held @ a later date, like April 21, it would be much better for everyone 2 make it there, since ppl won’t be split on deciding which tourney to go to.

I think it’s great that tournies are spawing all about in Ohio, but if they are being made & held, these tournies need 2 get things straight & well-put together.
Fugee, u kicked ass on setting up Season’s Beatings this past December. That was a great tourney, & it was ran very efficiently & worked like a charm. Mad props 2ya 4 that bro. :china:
If ppl are holding tournies, do some homework, & see how they should be ran. Season’s Beatings should be a benchmark 2 all those that want a great example of how 2 put together a tourney & how 2 operate a tourney successfully.

April tourney is being restructured, Fugee and I will announce this weekend. It will be SERIOUS, we already have names confirmed. It’ll be kind of a midway mark between Season’s Beatings! We’re going for April 14.
