I actually liked him for his potential, he trully needs 1 more new move… and i can tell u what is is…
Basically a charge attack like his headbutt, but has like instant recovery and does no damage. It’s basically a feint headbutt but puts him in grab range. Kinda like how Balrog whiff Dash Upper on crouchers but this applies to people standing too this can be Birdie’s new move. Then i think he’d be cool. With his headbutt being pretty good to rush down opponents like Balrogs and his ex has armour.
I like Birdie. As black stereotypes go, he’s definitely more interesting than the mental void Dee Jay and the scum bag Balrog (of course, Dudley and Elena are infinitely better than all three). At the very least, his look is unique and his moves are cool. And, his finger twiddling walk cycle is the best.
And, I know I’m not the only one who prefers his Alpha 1 level 3 chain grab over his Alpha 2/3 level 3 chain grab…

i miss a lot all is head butt combo and the long range 2 hand hammer punch also is super vs fire ball + is grab , i just hope someone will mods hugo skin for sf1 birdie
I like Birdie, but I don’t see how he’d work without the alpha super system. He kinda rellied on lv.1 jump grabs to beat zoning, which he can’t do now unless they make it EX grab, which would make it too good.
Sodom is someone I’d really like to see in this game though. He’s more like a motion-version of E.honda than anything else.
I liked R Mika and wished they could’ve made her work, then they made Fuerte… Sodom is just a worse Fei Long… Alex is inferior to both versions of makoto… Birdie vs Cody fights are aesthetically awesome, but that’s it…
Eagle would be awesome, but he shares the same personality as Dudley, and I dont think many people would be up for getting rid of a bullshit gentleman nigga out of the way to have the superior white man come in with his beat sticks.
Had a hope move that could be used to jump fireballs even full screen but it was hard to actually get over fireballs.
A lariat kind of like Zangief.
He could also counter, kind of like Gouken but it was up to you to release the button and hit the person after absorbing. Can bat back fireballs with his batons like Rose, and finally has a rush where he pummels you with his sticks like Dudley I guess.
