Anyone here bought a VEWLIX kit from KRAY?

Check this thread and price these against performance. Try to get the best one you can for your $, since these have been tested.

It wouldn’t be really worth getting a bad 32", if the experience is going to be a bad one.

Yes, the slim is designed for the EVO monitor.

Here is a picture of the slim with the monitor.

Here are some pictures of the Mame version also.
I don’t like the melamine the edge chip to easy.
I still need to figure out what artwork theme I want on the mame cabinet.

Anybody else in Norcal getting one? Maybe we can save a little cash on freight shipping. I plan on ordering a Kray slim painted with Black & Orange.
Merry Fucking X-Mas to me!:wow:
$975+shipping.
I guess I better stop bullshitting and start going in for O.T. at work.

The TE’s look very good on the cab, good stuff

Thanks!

That looks great! Do you have pics of the back or inside? Im waiting on my kit and am wanting to see what others have done.

Yeah, I’ll take some pics of the inside and back. I’ll post um up soon.

Thanks man!

Are the Kraylix stands made to fit a monitor on it as well? I see where it can fit a stick, and there is that extra space with what looks like some type of groove? Is this made for a monitor?

Naw, those stands are made to house a control panel/arcade stick and are used in front of a TV or monitor, kinda like those showcase type arcade cabs. The extra space which is a wide narrow gap it used for a move-list/art. It’s not made to fit a monitor.

Dang, I was so going to get one of these. I really admire his arcade cabinets, but after shipping and painting them and adding all of the extra arcade parts to it, it’s completely out of my price range. How much would I spend on wood if I were to build one myself? I have no wood working experience and would like to learn with something like this, lol. Doesn’t seem like it would be too difficult.

I mostly want something I can use for a head to head setup to set 2 monitors on and have room for sticks to lay in front of the monitors. And say I were to buy one of these, would shipping to Arkansas be a pain in my ass? The contact links on Kray’s site won’t work for me. :-/

Dude he;s in Fort Worth. We’ll just find someone with a truck and road trip to get it. It’s maybe a four hour drive at most.

You don’t have to get a painted cab. You could go with the kit instead and do the painting yourself, or leave it as is. That would save you a good $500.

Hi everyone. I’ve started a blog to record this project. If you want to give it a read it’s at: http://shaesarcade.blogspot.com/

Kray, do u have a guide anywhere for DIYers?

What kind of guide are you looking for? This thread covers almost all of the steps, and this site in general is where I have found almost all information I needed.

Guide for the TE cabinet. Measurements etc.
