Anyone here bought a VEWLIX kit from KRAY?

I like the vertical. I want to play some virtual pinball on it. Is that going to house a PC and mame or a game console?

hmmm, never thought about the number of button holes, how many should I have? 4? I/m using an xbox 360 in it also, so i thought I need all of the buttons available on the stick I guess…

The most you would need in a vertical shooter is probably 4 buttons, maybe 3…Also what are those two button holes next to the joystick hole for? No offense but why didn’t you just make your own control panel? Your cab build looks amazing but the one w/ Kray’s seems a bit to big compared to the rest of the cab. Maybe i just need to see the finish product…

Are those side art stickers or did you paint it? Looks cool!

hmmm… the other button holes are for start and back and guide, I guess, the cool thing about this panel, is that I can make my own top piece of plexi to hide/cover the other button holes, the stripes are actually auto penstripes, I did them in layers to get this effect, thanks for noticing!

I’m so jealous of you guys with your cabinets. I hope to order from Kray sometime in the future (gotta sell my CVS2 cabinet to fund it). I have a couple questions if you guys don’t mind.

  1. What is the most common setup for joysticks here? I plan on getting a 2 player V4 and putting a 360 and pc in it. Are you guys building the CP, or are you getting TE sticks and putting them in there? I’m guessing 90% of you are using Sanwa parts? Could I have a usb cord split and going into both the PC and 360 at the same time, or do I need to manually switch them?

  2. Why the LG? Just because it’s known to fit? Is it also a good TV for lag? Has anyone tried to hide the LG logo with a bezel or something?

  3. Is anyone switching from a 360 to a PC or PS3 with some kind of convenient setup like a KVM device or home-made switchbox?

Thanks! And sorry if this has been answered already. I gotta sit down and read this whole thread through

  1. Just get yourself a PS360 PCB & you will able to play 360/PC/PS3
  2. I use LG as it was the best tv available at the time/price…Make sure to use VGA though, component lags
  3. So far only using want system, but im pretty sure you can do that

Cool- thanks for the info.
As far as the PS360 PCB- how does it compare to the TE? I will have a 360 in there and hope to play other games plus the pc with emulators. The TE has the switch to change the stick to different modes. Do people find that there are certain 360 games or emulators that can’t be played with the PS360? Is there a PS360 FAQ anywhere, or an instruction manual on line? Anyone here use a TE in a Kraylix? How did you mount the little control box with the extra buttons to control the stick?

here’s how I mounted mine, it was a pain…

good progress sorhp. cant wait to see whats next

That does look like it was a pain. Was it worth it? Do you find that you use that panel a lot?

Yes, it was worth it, it powers on my xbox 360, it changes turbo if I want, I don’t have to have it, but I wanted it on there for the options, and it changes the sticks from digital to analog left or right, I’ll post some more when I get my new buttons and new plexi with less button holes

I just received my Kraylix and I have to say that Kray is really good at packaging everything together. So far everything looks awesome - still have to assemble, paint and wire everything though.
Needless to say, if anyone is still on the fence regarding quality and support, fear not

My cabinet is almost ready for its first game but I’ve hit a snag. For those who have completed the kit, how did you mount the joysticks? The recess for the mounting plate doesn’t leave any room for the heads of the screws.

I havnt tried on my 2 player just yet, but on my 1player I had to bore out the holes on the joystick mounting plate to allow the screw heads to fit flush… Hope this helps

the pics are bad but y’all get the idea.

Kray helped me out with the JLF mounting plate screws. They were 6 x 3/4" flat head wood screws. They sit flush with the plexi and give about 1mm of interference with the mounting plate holes. Just enough to hold the joysticks securely.

Here is my Kraylix. It’s powered by a computer and an Xbox 360. Still got work in progress too. My TE’s are all Sanwa of course, and my other control panel is going to be all Seimitsu. Best of both worlds.
