I haven’t actaully hookup the speaker yet. I use it for mostly decor. The holes will fit 4.5" standard audio speaker. Most TV will have audio out RCA type plug in the back. Run that to the audio amp or some type of amplfier and from the ampflier output to the speaker.
I probably won’t want waste my money on the audio amp unless I add woofer also.
I sent majin a pm describing how to hook up the speakers, more than decoration they have really good sound.
Did you connect the speaker to any type of amplifier?
I’m thinking about one of these cabinets myself (probably after Xmas). My plan for the speaker was likely to use the TV speakers and use this doodad I have sitting around from the CRT days:
Altec Lansing XA3001 Powered Subwoofer for TV and Gaming:Amazon:Electronics
I would secure it in place in the cabinet. The bass it puts out is pretty good, though I wonder how it would be in an enclosed space. It has RCA inputs so it connects to TVs easily with RCA outs.
I would rather use a dedicated sound system, but I’ll use what I have, maybe expand later if needed.
You could also by a set of computer speakers like the Logitech z2300 and connect the 4" car speaker in place of the originals using some RC connectors.
Nice just ordered one. Probably take almost a month to reach me tho.
Anyone have reliable source to purchase the Panasonic Viera TC-L32X1 online?
I know where some of my tax money is going!!! Kray I look forward to seeing your work at the Focus Fire tourney in La Crosse.
Anybody running arcade boards in theirs, primarily cps2? What kind of monitor set up do you run?
I doubt CPS2 would look good in LCD monitors Pablo…You should get one though, they look nice for HD setup…
Well this is my last fucking day to do painting, shit keeps chipping & im tired of it haha…Im going to just skip it & work on th CP panel artwork now…Then electronics. Then actually play some HDR on it!
Can we see where your at with yours Rcaido?
Imma wait on that haha, i dont want potential Kray customers being hesitant on the quality because of my awful painting, putting, & sanding skills…I think once i put some artwork & a tv ill post up…
I really hate hate hate paint, so i thought i was done painting & soon as i peeled the blue tape, part of the paint came of the CP, now i have to start all over again…:shake::mad::sad:
Also the spackle came off on some parts too!
So some tips for you guys, dont use spackle. Use bondo, which im going to get on Friday.
I used a Primer that fills as well as primes for my MDF Cab. I do feel that BONDO would be way wayyy better though.
I’m working on re (re) Painting my custom sitdown as well.
Damn, I definitely want one of these. The problem for me currently is a space restriction outside of the garage and I’m not putting one of these beauties in the garage. Hopefully that changes at some point and I can buy one.
I’m running a supergun setup to a 26" LCD via component cables. Aside from a slightly dark image, it looks beautiful and performs with either 0 noticable lag or the difference is negligible vs what I have in a cabinet. I wouldn’t say that CPS2 is out of the question for an LCD display. I would be worried about what the native resolution setup would be, but otherwise I think it’s fine. Just my input on this.
Would you mind giving me the brand/specs on this lcd you have?
If anything, this is the kind of cab I need for japanese layouts. Seems nice and compact.
BERNEDIT
Also, what kind of supergun your running?
Hey Kray it’s me David. Sorry for the long delay in posting my pictures of the vewlix you sold me. I’m out of state for some BS training for my job. I get back in on Friday and will definitely post the pictures of your master piece. May you please send me any pictures I emailed you of the work in progress? I switched phones and I did not save the old pictures nor the emails I sent you. I will take and add pictures of the completed project. Once again sorry for not posting sooner. I will call you hopefully tomorrow after 10 hours of BS training(yuk!).
Thank you for all of your help and great customer service. My cabinet came out looking sweet.
No problem boss. The display is a Samsung T220HD. It is actually 22", not 26". The supergun in question is something that someone built for themselves and sold off to me, along with an scart -> component converter device. I wish I could give you more info that that.
22" is a big difference between 32"…Pablo is pretty old school, so i think it might bother him a bit…Unless you want an HD setup, i think you should stick w/ CRT for CPS2 games…
So im probably going to print the artwork sometime next week, where do you guys print your stuff at? What kind of paper do i ask them to print?
looking to buy one of these. do you paint the parts before or after assembling it together?
