Yeah after watching most of the Japanese only play training stage online I’ve been doing the same. I love the Temple of Ascension stage, but it’s guaranteed lag online like every other time I fight someone on it.
And 4 players shit all the time on 5.
I just do it to piss people off, 4 fans are easaly triggerd in any way.
The only thing more funny, is going into TF2 forums and shouting “OW IS BETTER!”
Hm, thats interesting, I have to test that.
Never noticed this, probably because I play on PC
So we’ve gone back to the SF4 days of picking training stage again? I hate training stage, it’s so unhype. Makes me just want to quit if I can’t select anything else without fear of lag.
sure, sure…nice option select you created for yourself.
thats why you end up in essay lenght discussions even her on the forum
with people about why its “bad”.
I’ve been on the training stage from the beginning and it’s been pretty consistent with 5 bar players. I’m pretty sure rollback netcode requires a lot of resources and most likely preforms a lot better when your hardware has less to do. If you tried to play GGPO on an ancient PC it would run terrible even though the games would run fine offline. The fact that PC players with different specs, wireless connections and overall bad hardware optimization by capcom are thrown into the mix doesn’t help at all.
Checking in on this thread after a super long time, haven’t touched this game since Season 1 and finally kicked the Capcom habit by not buying S2…feels weird to not have the newest version of a Street Fighter game on day 1, but alas.
Local community is dead and fortunately many have moved onto GG or in some weird cases back to SF4. I’m really not super enthralled with any game in particular, KOF14 my favorite but having a hard time finding local meetups and friends are less interested.
If they simply removed the priority system this game would be a lot better, reason being that it makes no sense to get randomly crush countered into a combo just for trying to play footsies with all of your moves.
It would be more logical for the crush counter to trade, since winning a trade is a fair reward for throwing out your heavy attack at the right time. Landing combos in footsies should require a normal confirm rather than a special game mechanic that creates a big opening if you get lucky.
Maybe this seems obvious to a lot of people, just my recent observation from trying yet again to find some enjoyment in the game.
In your dreams. SFV is the greatest and most competitively popular current gen fighting game, and in a few months SFV will eclipse all! FOREVER!!! JAJAJAAHAHAHAHSA
Pretty much. Fighting games in general are dead compared to other genres but we’re still trying to beat each other’s games up so that works well.
It’ll be interesting to see how many people are just using DBZ as a resource to bring down Capcom while not actually playing the game or going to tournaments for it. I remember people hoping Skullgirls would overthrow Marvel 3, but that didn’t happen. Marvel dudes still played Marvel
Idk about af5 but no one bought into the mvci hype.
That should tell marvel how bad it is to sell one game and create a playerbase around “commitment” then release a fucking marvel game where even looking at it probably causes the average started-with-sf5 gamer, literally half to death.
