The entire point of the FM system is to make sure players don’t have enough lmao. When Capcom first teased all content being available through playing the game, they failed to mention that fight money would be incredibly limited to an awful survival mode, cheap online grinding, and miscellaneous single player modes. The point is to draw players into using real money then over-price costumes AND characters with absolutely no way to purchase them in bundles.
That’s strange. On several occasions during the past 2 months I went to the store, selected “Characters” and it said nothing available. I could not buy Guile or Alex.
Anyway, I’m sure you can write Capcom an email and they will fix your problem.
If colors and costumes weren’t such a giant fucking steal then maybe it would be better. Remember in SFIV where you got 3 costumes from 3 bucks? Yea well now it’s 4 for just one. Fuck, i’ve seen people in the mod thread make better costumes than some of that shit capcom is cranking out.
There was supposed to be a “daily challenge” thing that would have been the main fight money generator. However, it appears to have been dropped. (or at the very least on the back burner)
I agree that something needs to be done for the future. After completing the story/survival modes, FM dries up pretty quickly. Only getting 50 FM a pop for online matches is indeed way to low.
They’re probably going to release that alongside the last character (Urien?) so that you’re tempted to either grind a lot or buy the Season Pass after all.
I crunched some numbers and realized that if I tried to earn at least 500 in fight money a day (which is 10 won online ranked matches) I’ll earn about 182,500 every year. So I should have everyone unlocked by 2020. Huzzah!
Well, not exactly. 10 win is 500 FM, sure, but you also gain xp for your character, even if you lose. And every level up give you 1000. Not so much, sure, but “that’s better than nothing”.
If you don’t mind losing, you can do like me, switch character everytime you gain a level.
Yeah yeah. I noticed that after I cleared Ryu’s easy survival mode I was a few thousand dollars richer even though I didn’t get any F.M. Clearing everyone else should get me enough for Urien or Juri. I’ll still keep playing online though. I need the experience.
I bought the season pass and still feel like I don’t have enough for everything, I can’t imagine what you guys buying the characters that way feel like…
The current state of earning fm makes it difficult to ration the in-game purchases. I’m beginning to think the reason why there is no arcade mode is because it might make grinding for fm too easy. I also bought a season pass in the beginning because I was afraid the fm would restrict me from the dlc characters for too long.
I will have FM to buy the characters I want from this season, urien, alex and ibuki but not all. Then it will be more difficult to farm but not impossible doing survival etc. I get I will have to buy some characters but not all with real money but I think thats fair, anyone else think thats fair? it used to be we had to buy a whole nother expansion game but no more! If you only play say Ryu you wont have to spend SHIT during this games lifespan presumably.
I can’t keep myself from buying costumes that I find awesome for character I occasionally play, so no, I will never have enough. But isn’t the entire point of the semi-fre-to-play business model to have you earning just enough fake money that you can buy some of the stuff, but eventually will have to pay real money?
I feel that I will never get enough FM, but I’m OK with this. I can buy the characters at my own pace and I only care about Karin, and I already have her story mode outfit.
You get 6 characters + 6 premium alts (3.99$ each) + as now 670.000 FM i can use on something else (counting 6 DLC+Guile’s stage) + ??? if they’re smart they will give some more free stuff
It’s still robbery, but i go with that instead grind for FM
