I’m going to have to try Panzer Dragoon.
My Saturn is actually a modded Japanese one. There is a switch actually on it for Japanese or English. But the problem is my burns or the laser just aren’t that great anymore so sometimes it hangs. I’ve tried burning Nights several times, even at the lowest speeds. Maybe I need better media, what’s the best CD media to use? I used to use Verbatim for DVDs because nothing else worked well.
I dont think Saturn has the capability to read dvd media. The setup i got used Memorex CD-R.
yeah the saturn only has a CD laser, so i would be amazed as hell something that old could read a DVD.
Well they are made to be retro compatible, but I meant that when I would burn DVDs for other things I used the Verbatim brand. I believe they make CDR+s too so I will give that a shot.
I’m somewhat saddened there isn’t more love for Shining the Holy Ark. It’s one of my favorite RPGs of all time. I think I still have my copy of it. A new copy runs for $700 on Amazon haha. Mine is used, and I played the hell out of it. What a great, great game.
Dragonforce was so amazing i tried to play the JP only sequel, did not work out well.
I’d put DF and Brigidine as my favorite tactical RPG’s of that era.

Anyone here got feedback on what they would like to see potentially implemented in a new Dforce styled game? Anything about Dforce you didn’t like?
Never played DragonForce, sounds like a nifty game. How customizable were each unit?
The units themselves weren’t very customizable, but the generals can be given items which let them utilize troop types that weren’t their original troop type they had access to. Units themselves had advantages and disadvantages against certain troop types.
More micro management would be nice of the troops or different type of troops. Maybe taking control of your general to tip the scales.
How about having some more unique soldiers that acted like mercenaries and maybe a spy unit or something lol idk. Maybe be able to do things like kidnappings or something devious like that and what about monsters? Taming monsters as units.
Right now, we got units, that have unit specific abilities, like shielded swordsman can do shield walls, and archers that do volley. In the campaign map screen our castles will have special functionality with general assistance.
Don’t mean to graveyard a 5 month old topic but, any progress on this MrBlank? I know game development can take a long time. Ever think of putting it on Kickstarter for funds?
No way, Its great you did. Actually we are making some decent progress on the project, but unfortunately 1 of our programmers jumped ship due to depression unrelated to the project. I am currently interviewing quite a talented set of programmers to see who is the right addition for the team. I am looking for someone basically proficient who is willing to work out of pocket until project releases as we plan on doing revenue share. Thankfully there is plenty of demand to fill the spot.
So good news, We secured a new programmer and now our team is back to full strength. the new guy is super talented so we already made back all the code we lost and more from the previous programmer.
Does anyone have some input on what they would like to see in the game or adjusted to make it an overall better experience?

Best game hands down on the saturn imo. Played it forever and the sequel that came out in Japan could have been better. They now have an emulator our that translates it.
One of the best strategy/RPGs on the console, IMHO.
Someone mentioned Panzer Dragoon Saga. That, too, is a good RPG as well. Problem is, the prices for it are insane now.
