I can get jab -> sweep now like 60% of the time, but dash -> ultra no way, saw the “charge buffer” video but for the life of me can’t do it LOL

dash ultra should be easier on pad, less wiggle room between left and right. IF you’re having trouble getting it out, it’s probably a fundamental issue and not a pad specific issue, but I haven’t played pad since 2008 so my opinion is rather moot. If you have some fundamental questions about doing dash ultra, I could help you there.

Can do both easily on stick lol. Dont forget, it’s f.st.lp , not just jab, the close wont work.
Agree with 3nigmat1c, dash ultra is no problem on pad, should be even easier.

Honestly I don’t play pad but if you were to play pad Rog is a pretty decent choice for it. I have no experience with dash ultra on pad but don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time. Put in 2 hours a day with a Ryu in training and don’t spam the fireballs but make them sort of random to closer simulate a real match and in a week your success rate will raise dramatically. Execution error’s are just a matter of grinding it out in the comboratory until you can 10/10 it which is most peoples rule of thumb. Stick to it man, Rog forever.

Pad Balrog here. Uh…Jab -> Sweep I’ve gotten a couple of times online, but I’ve never really practiced them. Dash Ultra I (successfully) tried once online and actually got it. Gotta practice both to get them consistently though,

A pad rog player in my local scene had it down and was landing 90% of the time, even during grand finals with stress as a factor.

Get the rhythmic timing down. It is one of the easier one frame links since you can have a fairly fast rhythmic timing.

I’m starting to work on the far s.lp > c.hk link myself now. Once I get the rhythm I can land it 60% of the time. It will take time to get it to be second nature and land more often.

I can dash ultra with 360 analog stick no problem.
