I have played against roll canceling Blankas, but of course you are not throwing hadoukens are you? If you know they are roll canceling just don throw hadoukens. You can throw a slow hadouken if Blanka is on the other corner, that way you can punish it with a shoryken it he rc’s that shit. Blanka is eating a shoryuken for sure! IF it’s a roll canceling Blanka or E.Honda, I attack them like crazy. But yeah, I have played against some Blanka and honda players that let you even touch them with their RC Balls and head butts. Ryu vs BLanka more chances for Blanka, but he is beatable. Terry Cgroove vs Blanka, that’s some problem right there.
Such a shame that Ryu can’t retaliate against a blocked Blanka Ball without meter or jumping at the last second to Air Block the ball.
And who RC balls through slow fireballs at fullscreen anyhow? Blanka has plenty of safer options that get him into range to RC fierce ball Ryu to death.
Not all the time! Sometimes Blanka’s ball can be punished. If both players are in a corner (Blanka vs Ryu), you can throw a hadouken and if blanka roll cancels with a high punch, you can punish that bitch with a shoryuken. But if he roll cancels with a low punch, there is no way you can punish that. Yeah. Blanka is a bitch with RC. THe same with HOnda, just doing his fucking head butt. THat’s how the game is so we can’t do anything.

jd, sweep, lp fireball is a pretty good punisher after a jd
ryu’s tick throwing tatics are WAY above average, matter a fact, thas where probably 40-50% of your damage is going to come from
his s.fp is a good poke, and his s.rh is a good anti air
he has a dp
great with run since his c.lp and c.mp have great frame advantage
if he gets a cross up, he has pretty good combos to punish (i know that this may be a con in k-groove, seeing as how he can’t super for the most part or cancel the super into a move)
his sj.hurricane kick is pretty safe to create space, its almost unpunishable on a lot of folks
and one thing about sagat vs ryu, ur rh trades with his dp if they don’t RC it, and u come out GOOD on the trade unless they do a deep lp or mp uppercut

c-ryu isn’t that good. and he can’t do ANYTHING against blanka really.
“IF it’s a roll canceling Blanka or E.Honda, I attack them like crazy.” That has to be the dumbest thing i’ve heard you say…what do you do? poke, eat a rc’ed headbutt or ball, jump, eat another rc, do a move, eat a rc, block a rc ball, do nothing unless you want to waste your meter, and ryu with no meter isn’t doing anything against a rc’ing blanka. and ryu can’t really do much about a rc’ing honda…sure he can jump and airblock, but that is if the honda is abusing his headbutt…if honda just turtles, and REACTS with rc’ed headbutts…ryu is screwed. you really have to be a master with your meter and your guard meter to play c-ryu…you also have to have very good guard strings…and even then its VERY hard.
jump around and hurricane kick. since honda wants to sit on his ass and wait for you to come to him… just build meter. He has no good air to air move to stop it. He can try, there is a good chance he’ll get hit and knocked down… then you can move in and try to bait the RC headbutt/grab/hands on wakeup. Its not like Ryu just auto dies. Against C blanka, Ryu can still poke… you seem to be thinking that will RC ball the whole match. The key for Ryu is land a knockdown and move in. And when you jump and hurricane kick to build meter alot, they will either give you the lvl3, or they will try to stop you. Either way the will move forward. The thing you have to realize is, Honda can’t rush Ryu either. Blanka can but he is just really good overall.
naw, c-ryu doesn’t autodie…c-honda and c-blanka are uphill battles imo though, because once of them gets a lead on life (lets say 'bout a sagat c.fp of a lead of life), then that puts ryu in a bind imo.
