He just said work-at-home. He didn’t say it had to be his home. In fact, with the Assassin job, I’d thoroughly recomend that it NOT be his own home.

Yeah, but then I have the extra expense of another home/apartment. It’s a lot of start-up cost. Yep, that’s definitely the only reason that assassin isn’t the best idea. lol
A friend of mine use to do customer service/sales for some magazine company or something where they set you up with an internet phone and you have to like vie for hours vs others. Commision based + like 5$ an hour or something.
Absolutely! There are tons of genuine jobs that one can do from home. But my suggestion would be to ask your partner if she can negotiate a deal with her current employer? If that’s not an option, then she can start looking at other alternatives.
Medical transcription is a great home-based career that has worked for many stay at home moms. If you guys are keen on her staying at home, then she should start looking at some medical transcription training programs either online or on ground. Such programs are generally short in duration, so you don’t have to worry about spending years on getting trained!
Wow, im surprised that there are even a few helpful posts in here with legit answers to this dudes question.
Anyhow, I really just posted in here to say congratulations on the upcoming baby! Best of luck to all 3 of you.
Apple Care does some work from home stuff. 5 weeks of training, and they send you an iMac to use. A friend of mine does it and makes 15+ an hour, 40 hours a week with set hours.
It’s funny that one of the helpful posts is from an obvious spambot.
A lot of coding jobs allow you to remote from home. I haven’t really taken advantage of it yet, but it’s nice to know it’s an option. I will probably remote for most of January since I have a big contract with the CDC through my freelance business that I run from home of course.
lol @ her scamming you into staying home all day and do nothing
save time and money and get divorced now since it will happen in the next 5 years or so.
StudioTraffic. 100% legit dude.
Lol I was just gonna post this. Classic SRK.
I like how nobody asked the most important question: what the hell is she good at/does she like to do? There are tons of legit ways to make money from home, but there’s no sense in recommending transcription to somebody with bad ears or who types 30 words a minute, or recommending customer service to somebody who hates the phone.
setting up and selling computers (ebay) from ur own home is a possiblity…that or u could always get into hydroponics
Haha I have to admit, I didn’t even bother reading the story. I just responded to the thread title.
Thanks
Congrats on the upcoming baby!
I did the medical transcription thing for extra cash in college. Fortunately one of the offices gave me my equipment and a medical dictionary to check spelling on weird stuff. Unfortunately I can’t really comment on what that sort of equipment costs though, so that might be a set back. It might be worth checking around for in your area if she has competent enough typing speed and basic administrative skills.
Don’t bother asking hospitals as they usually provide staff from corporate for it. The small practices are usually just looking for someone that needs part time work that they don’t really have to hire on though.
try to make the next viral video. I know we are all waiting for the next two girls one cup to come along.
My work-from-home experience: before the company I worked for could no longer afford to pay me and my fellow tech/marketing writer, said company had excellent facilities allowing work from home. Was great to not have to call in sick, still actually work, and come in the next day. At one point, the company was between HQs, leaving one while a new one was still under construction, so everyone worked from home.
Truth be told, I wouldn’t mind a new working from home gig. Partly because I wouldn’t mind any writing-related gig, home or otherwise…
