yea, I’ve seen a dude catch an ass kicking because of marvel. A guy, we used to nickname panthro from the thundercats, because he looked like him, but we never used to say that to his face. Just a nickname because we didnt know his name, plus he always came to the arcade in his training gear.
He used low tier characters and whenever I’d play him, since he wasn’t that great, I’d match it up with lower tier characters and we’d have great games. He definitely had some SF skills but not so much marvel wise. So him and I got along great all the time and we’d always B.S. despite not knowing his real name.
There was a corny dude who played him one day and just cheesed the hell outta him w/ cable/doom/syke…hilarity ensued.

I’ve just had people yell in my face tell me I suck and shit after fucking them up with Cable. I just laughed it off. Then they tell me not to call characters cuz calling characters is cheap. So I had my Guile come out first and took out his whole team. There was a whole bunch of brothers that wanted to kick my ass just cuz I handled their ass to them but nah they never did shit. I was around 13 years old fucking up 20 year old dudes. LOL

I had storm in my team so we where all into the game and i was winnig by a small amount .

on youtube where the guy using stom just flys most the time and he does the super when the conterder trys to get close.
the time was almost over so i just started to FLY
the white dude got mad and at the end of the macht he just hit the controls rally hard and was furious.
I thought he was going to start something but insted he went over to some other freinds and complaind to them about me.

*Just chilling at the arcade about a year ago, I was playing Mag/Calble/Tron back then. I had just gotten to the point where I hit mags guard break like 80-90% of the time, and there arent really any mag players at this arcade, so people were just blocking and eating the GB every time. Needless to say I racked up a fair amount of wins (due less to my skill and more to the failure of my opponents to tap the short button on the way in) playing against 3 other people. I dont know if I was causing tension o rise, or something, but two of the other guys started arguing, I think somone wanted someone elses spot in line or something. They got into a heated verbal debate, and one guy left, the other kept playing, and eventually knocked me off.
I switched to MSDoom and on the moment the speaker pumped out “engage” I noticed there was someone on the oppositions back. This cat came BACK up to the arcade with a Game boy link cable to try and choke dude out. Im sorry but there is something extremely lame about that. The other guy flips him off his back onto the floor, and when he comes back up he has a damn kitchen knife in his hands!
At that point everyone was kinda surrounding him cause they saw he had a knife and shit, and he turned tail and ran, I was fairly surprised.
Another time fairly similar situation, except this time I was playing combofiend, and actually beasting people instead of rom-whoring them. :wgrin: Someone gets in a fist fight because another player said “Kid” in reference to him. He said dont call me a kid, next thing I knew fists were flying, death threats were made, it gets pretty heated pretty fast. This one ended with one guy leaving, the other guy staying, scared he was gonna get his ass beat if he left to soon. Classic.

Ok well I’m at the arcade and I break a dollar get some change get some tokens & start playing SNK vs Capcom2 now I am noobtacullar at that game lol so I playing an older guy he knew how play so I was prepared for the worst. So as we were playing I caught on to a certain move you can preform with many characters that can continously trip them over and over and if timed right can not be blocked but I hated it so at the time I was standing at the arcade doing hurrican kick over and over but the move wouldn’t input and instead I got the trippy kick and I kept triping him and I didn’t mean to use it so he SIGHED realy loud and did the same thing to me and killed off all my char’s over and over with the trippy kick and I was geting ready to sock him in the face because it was an accident didn’t mean to use the same kick 3 times in row sorry.
And the second time I was geting a my friend angry whose face was turning red and told me he was gonna sock me in my face but he wasn’t he was just angry at the fact it was 6-0 6 being my number of wins. With my team in Marv vs Capcom 2 old team too Captain Cammdo groun type, Warmachine projectile, and Iron man anti air.
someone in this thread neg repped me a few months for posting and i just realized it. fucking loser.
anyway, it seems pretty safe to say that getting heated over something as unimportant as losing a match in a video game is pretty lame. and getting into an actual physical confrontation over a game is even worse.
