I haven’t noticed this, but whatever adds to character diversity is a good thing in my book. Better then entering a tournament match and everyone besides yourself is playing Akuma (Yes this has happened to me before… several times).
I suck with Dhalsim. Why? Cause I just started with him. I hate playing against and playing as the same person/people all the time (I hate in casuals when people ALWAYS pick keon or ALWAYS pick Guile, rotate a bit its NOT ranking). So yeah I’m a dhalsim scrub, I’ve looked at a couple vids and think about how I used to play him. I doubt I was one of those guys, but honestly I’m GLAD. When I play I only seem to fight
Ken
Ryu
Cammy
Honda
Vega
Bison
THawk
Gief
w/ random Guile & Fei Long players.
I’ve only fought against a dhalsim player twice. seriously. when it gets serious I’m not going to know how to beat him because he’s so rare.

wow you’re lucky there lol.
i played hawk and zangief only one time and bison never (although i play him).
dhalsim i saw once in a ranked match.
i have NEVER played a boxer or DJ player. (i don’t count player matches where someone just picked him for one game because he wanted to try something or whatever 1 game out of ~50)
i play about 90% ken players.
it’s almost exciting when i play ryu, atleast something different.
what i find kinda strange is: why are more people playing ken, but not so many akuma?
sagat is someone i expected to see more often, too.
but i guess he just seems like a sloooooow ken to most players.

They’ve got to start somewhere. Everyone on here was a beginner of a new character at one point (I still am).

Word. Hearing people call others scrubs and crying about them playing sim is not only really lame, but makes absolutely no sense. There isn’t exactly a ton of characters in these games. They need to play as someone. And wakeup call, I dont care how good you think you are, there are always people that can make you look like a “scrub”.

there is no problem with starters my point was that this just start becouse the winning SF4 tournament and SF4 dalsim is something totaly diffrent then SF2… its like they saw something amazing and try to reproduce it in SF2 but that will not happen he is powerfull in sf2 but not so aggresiv playable like in SF4…
i do not get why people start playing him in HDR since in SF4 a realy skilled guy won a tournament with him…
But who is actually doing this? I mean, what evidence do you have that this is the reason people are picking him? This just sounds like a half baked theory… Like others said, I doubt theres a large % of scrubs that even pay attention to who is winning SFIV tourneys.
No one has ever used Dhalsim before this SF4 tournament***!***
sim really isn’t a rare character in remix…like, at all.
Now you’re just being silly.
Ugh I got a long road to travel to get nice with Dhalsim…
-:bluu:
did i say he s not powerful? i just think its a toaly other wayof playing him then sf4…
Anything is a break from Kens doing random fierce shoryukens all over the place.
I hate seeing Sim when Im playing with Gief this is one of those nightmare match ups I have when playing Gief. The Sim player can have decent SF skill and its such a tough battle, after I beat them a few times they switch to someone else for the beat down of their lives. Fricking Sim, I actually wanna get good with him too tho.
blanka is popular cause his game plan is fairly straight forward and does big damage
its only so hard becouse the simplay do not need to change his gameplan at all ^^ thats why he get more used to it almost all other chars need to change the game a bit
but wel in the light of “no kens” i never saw this *g so its maybe good ^^
