Is this legit? Wow, this guide rules. They should do a re-print!!
Wasn’t this guide notoriously bad because a lot of the frame data was wrong or missing and the “strategy” was outdated?
It’s not an ideal guide but it’s got plenty of info if someone is just learning about the game. It lists all normals, specials, supers and target combos, which characters can be ground crossed up by who, some basic combos, etc. I mean it explains stuff like unblockables, sjc stuff, kara srk, makoto’s weird invincibility frames, lov mgun, partitioning, etc.
The frame data I’m sure has all sorts of problems but the fact that it even mentions some of these things is pretty good. If I had a friend who wanted to start playing, I’d give him the guide to borrow and use just as an easy reference.
Some frame data were wrong, and some were missing. Some characters’ strategies were also pretty lacking in depth(Emphy in particular blasted Urien’s section).
Other than that, I don’t know if I’d call it “notoriously bad”. I wouldn’t pay for it though(again, anyway).
Well what else is there to Urien other than build meter and throw Aegis. It’s that easy. I’m just some guy that watches videos.
bro, it’s not that easy to play urien. You have to kara grab and OS headbutt setups if they parry. Either post useful info or stfu please. Quit trolling me.

I still have a physical copy of this guide, and I can attest to how detailed it is. However, as stated above there are frame data errors, and you do have to take some things they say with a grain of salt (Twelve v/Chun isn’t really a good matchup). Besides that, though, this thing’s a pretty good 3S bible.
