I love that kinda line work. It gives it a real sense of it being drawn rather than everything lookin almost too perfect. I love it especially in Manga like blade of the immortal. But with how it looks with the animation, being smooth and imperfect at the same time is my jam.
I can understand why people might think it starts boring.
