this is the 2nd season, it started airing last season. and Season 1 came out last year. basically, if U like Competition, and Tournaments, and mind games…you know the shit SRK is all about, you will love chihayafuru.
Shinobu is like Chris G, good people be playing against her, and u be thinking, man she/he is good, she/he should be able to match shinobu , and then it be like chris g response “can they block soul fist”? NOPE, RAPE!

- The childhood flashback sequence with Chihaya, Taichi, and Arata was a nice episode opener.
- Harada-sensei…
- Fujisaki training camp is SRS BSNS; Sakurazawa-sensei showing why Fujisaki is a force to be reckoned with in regards to karuta.
- lol at Retro being there, as well.
- Shoutouts to the former Fujisaki 3rd years; Eromu with the oppai airgrab.
- Would love to see more of Sakurazawa’s karuta past via flashbacks, or something.
- Retro with that statement to Chihaya regarding his observation of Taichi…
- Kana; champion of the “Chihaya x Taichi” OTP.
- Poor Yama-chan (Rion); versus Chihaya for 3 matches, lol.
- Yama-chan out here with the SSR onigiri lunch box combo; plays karuta for rice.
- Sakurazawa with the inspirational advice to Chihaya was a nice moment, along with Rion’s knowledge/experience sharing as a follow-up.

yea man, i have to agree, but it was to be expected, show been off the airs for about 6 years lol. i figured they would have some kind of recap, it was all well done. i cant wait for double episodes next week!!!
