bruh
you don’t like dragons?
Has anyone else here seen the Netfllix anime Godzilla trilogy?
A while back i saw part 1 and it was ‘alright’. Finally revisited it to see the other two and Holy crap! This was dumb as rocks.
Part 3 was the worst offender! This is what happens when you allow Japanese drug addicts to make their own anime flick. It was one of those shows that’s too ambitious for it’s own good. It tried to be a little TOO Deep than what it could deliver, and ultimately got lost in it’s own retardness, and crashed & burned in a spectacular blaze of mediocrity.
And the way it all ended…what was even the point of these stupid movies?! So senseless and idiotic!
Edit: And don’t be enticed by the Godzilla Vs Gigorah “fight”. It was boring and lame. To think these crappy movies actually got a theater release in Japan.
I liked how powerful Godzilla was. Everything else was hot garbage.
I thought it was neat how they tried to explain Godzilla’s powers and stuff. How he actually has a skintight, invisible force field around his body generated by an Organ near his back scales, etc.
Otherwise, this was trash. It started out ‘decent’ but, went nowhere.
I just do NOT like these 3D animes they come out with, its jarring. Always looks wierd to me
The animation and look of 3D anime tend to be very jank.
Shit usually looks cheap as fuck, not fluid at all. Oddly enough, I can watch Into the Spiderverse with no problems
With Spiderverse it’s an artistic choice so it doesn’t look as bad. With Anime it always looks like a result of limitations or being new to that style.
I initially was turned off because I am not a fan of CG anime but gave it a shot as there have been some decent ones. But yeah it is bad.
I tried to watch the third one twice after work and fell a sleep within the first fifteen minutes both times. The films seem confused as to what story they want to tell with Godzilla and name drop more popular elements instead of living up to even decent depictions.
If you told me these films only became Godzilla films late in production I would believe you.

And when you think about it… nothing really happened. They just wasted their time(and us for watching this shlock), as the end result was the same as the beginning. Godzilla ruling earth and humans being screwed.
The main character’s arc went nowhere in the end also! All that for NOTHING. He just became a suicidal moron. Then when he finally had a chance to defeat Godzilla(or so they say), he didn’t over some philosophical bullshit. “durr if i do it i’ll be a monster just like godzilla!”. Idiot. Then what about when they killed the first, younger Godzilla?! They still did it with no hesitation.
I agree with the pissed off aliens in the ship, who wanted to bring him back and put him to death for his stupidity after that.
Also again, with the obnoxious Faux ‘deepness’. There was nothing ‘deep’ about this crap, just a bunch of idiotic characters and a retarded ass story.
Edit: Best case scenario… just watch the first movie, and shut it off after they defeat the younger Godzilla. Then pretend they won in the end. That actually would have been a good way to go about it. Having a huge climatic final battle, beat Godzilla, and then END IT. A short & sweet, 1-shot story. Done.
Yup. Lord and Miller purposely designed Spider-Verse the way they did because they wanted it to look, sound and feel like you were watching an interactive comic book.
Which honestly was fucking brilliant. It’s one of the few movies I really wish I could have saw in 3D.
I actually hated that they chose a lower fps for that movie, it’s very choppy imo. Looks less like a moving comic book and just like the film reel was juttery.
Didn’t ruin it and the action was still fun tho.
