I been hearing the Enter the Anime documentary on Netflix is absolute shit. It’s apparently some disingenuous hipster view of the subject matter. I need to see how bad this is.
Honestly most of those deep dive documentaries into fandoms by Netflix are horse shit.
There is one about glass blowing that recently just came out. My Brother In-Law, who is an actual professional glass blowing artist absolutely fucking hates it due to how inaccurate it is. So do his friends and teachers that actually helped make the documentary.
I saw LeSean Thomas in the trailer and thought it might be an interesting take. Since he’s part of the new generation of animators influenced by anime. Who will prob have a big impact on the American scene
I think it dickrides castlevania and bashes everything else or some shit. It’s really just there just to advertise their netflix shows probably. But yea, it’s clickbait propaganda bullshit.
That is a shame, I enjoy good and informative looks at different fandom. A shame too few documentaries do so without some bias.

It is gamey, although that is part because the franchise is made by the Record of Loddoss creator, which like that franchise is based on his table top/D&D campaigns.
i assumed it was like record of lodoss war from the title but the anime is far far diff than that series. lodoss was anime lotr.
Granbelm continues to get nuttier and nuttier with every episode. Every week they keep surprising me with how they could possibly one up themselves this time. It started off so-so but holy cow has it ramped the fuck up these past few weeks.
If you’re after some batshit crazy magical girls fighting in chibi-like mechs, consider giving Granbelm a shot. Production Values have never made Mahou Shoujo in robot mechs look so bonkers.
I know probably no one else cares but SE4 of Haikyuu + 2 OVA’s are going to be released January of next year. 
I’m super excited.
Crunchyroll will stream the anime this fall.
