This is weird seeing Gilgamesh being a wee bit less of a dick working together with the other servants to kill Caster. Dude still a dick, hes way more arrogant than even Escanor

You talking about it got me in the mood so i watched a couple epusodes of UBW. Reminded me that for me half the fun of Fate/Zero was getting to see Saber have a Master that can actually give her Mana lol.

Rider just hurt Saber’s feelings so bad, he ran her down about no being a true king, meanwhile Gilgamesh sittin there with a shit eatin grin. She’ll shake back but damn
So far my favorite characters in Zero are Rider and Shirou’s dad (cuz GUNS). Kitome, Caster and his master, I hate them so much, which is the point, means they’re good villains
trying to work through baki season 3 and muhammed ali jr is too cool of a character. anime version of steve fox…i know hes gotta get jobbed out at some point because hes a dope black man. but enjoying this so far.

Definitely liking Fate Zero more than Fate UBW so far (not that UBW was bad by any means). It has a darker, grittier feel, and I like the servants and masters alot more. Shit is 
I came for the action in this series, but the story and characters are really clicking with me right now

Kiritsugu is an easy main character to get behind in this kind of setting. He has skill, a goal, and he’s motivated. I like Shiro quite a bit, but you don’t really get a real pay off from him as a viewer till the last 10% or so of the show. He’s like…a great MC retroactively. Kiritsugu is dope from jump.
It’s also kind of a different show from UBW in that we get more time with the Servants themselves. Do you even remember Rider in UBW?

I legit don’t remember Rider in UBW at all, idk if that was intentional or not. But Rider in Zero commands your attention. I wouldn’t mind a spinoff of his adventures
Also agreed on Shirou’s dad, Shirou kinda basic anime hero, Kiritsugi a Badass with a plan from the start. A well trained killing machine but with depth. Saber needs no praise, she’s constantly a joy to watch
And don’t get me started on Zero’s Caster and his master…i legit like no qualities in them, which means the writers are doing their job

Yea Rider is the purple haired chick with the blind fold on. She almost fucked up Shiro then got chased off and killed off screen. She was Shinji’s Servant.
And see told you man, one of the joys of watching Zero is seeing Saber get to operate with actual Mana. Tosaka wanted her over Archer for a reason.
And yea Caster and his Master are scuuuuuum lol.
Shit in UBW would’ve went alot different if Saber had access to that attack she had in Zero. Lol
Somehow Gilgamesh is MORE arrogant in the prequel although a tad less murder-eye. He’s like Escanor turned up to 100. Enjoyable when he’s on screen tho lol

Yeah the original Fate VN is 3 routes, so not every character gets development in each route.
Shirou is kind of interesting in that he develops over the course of all 3 possible routes and they almost all feed into each other kind of. And I think it makes HF Shirou pretty great.
Man so hype for those movies to be done.
