Yes, Diebuster is simply amazing and I would definitely recommend it.
Probably my favorite Gainax mecha show

GaoGaiGar, Eureka 7, Patlabor, Star Driver, Overman King Gainer, and Dancouga are all prett6y good to.

Can’t remeber the name of the series but basically a little girl finds this bot that looks similiar to J-Decker and it protects her from monsters and they slowly fall in love a bit. It was pretty good and it’s pissing me off I can’t remeber the name. And I’m probably the only one but I found Gundamn IGLOO pretty entertaining.

Also I’m sure I’ve mentioned this a few pages back I’ve only been into anime for about 2 years or so and I’ve missed quite a few shows. One of them being Fullmetal Alchemist. Since I’ve heard that FMA Brotherhood is supposedly an OVA remake of the original or some shit like that, is Brotherhood better than the original or vice-versa? I’m deciding which one I should put my viewing time into

The original FMA covers a certain amount of the manga before they caught up and had to make story deviations because the manga didn’t have any more content at the time. Personally, I didn’t enjoy the anime created story line and thought the series went downhill after wards. It’s objective though and other people thought the original FMA was great.

FMA: Brotherhood is faithful to the manga from beginning to end. The beginning is a little bit condensed with some less important details being skipped over in order to have enough time to tell the full story of the manga.

So what you’re saying is that If I watch the original, I will end up with something like the Soul Eater anime where they ran out of material and just went “Fuck it lets make this happen.”

As opposed to Brotherhood, where when put into the context above, the ending won’t piss me off? I’ll take a serving of FMA Brotherhood thank you.

[details=Spoiler]What the hell? He summoned Byakko at level 1. IIRC that’s a level 50 demon. I guess they have to take some liberties, but I hope they actually use some tactics instead of having the MC overpower everything alone like in Persona 4.

The character designs are pretty faithful (same guy who did Durarara!!), especially in the OP sequence. The VA for Makoto (JPs lieutenant) was spot on but the others are pretty different from how I imagined they’d sound like.

The pacing of the story was pretty fast. If this is 12 episodes, then there’s gonna be a lot of action every episode if they want to cover everything.

It seems like they chose to make the MC more serious instead of trollish like the P4 MC. Hopefully, they manage to sneak in some of the more witty dialogue choices. That stuff made the game memorable.[/details]

That Death Pool OVA was good as hell.

I’m guessing that the old man, out of an act of benevolence, traded places with the other guy at the last minute. That and the demon mask above his elevator screams “hell”. Then again, that smirk as he was going down says otherwise. Got a “School Days” vibe out of the young guy’s flashback lol
