Going thru the motions is right. Course we are talking about an industry were they would rather have a moe blob talk about the fight than actually show you the fight that supposedly happened after building up to it.
Iâm pretty sure there wasnât much fight anyway [details=Spoiler]considering how kid goku holding back can instant transmission and kameha mountains.
The last episode showed us who is pulling the strings behind Central which is basically them telling us they want to do a second season.[/details]
Also, you reminded me of Katanagatari and I am happy that those endings donât happen too often.
I was expecting for Biscuit to look like a slightly attractive older lady, not a character from HnK. Still, it works on its own way lol. Then Killua and his Yo-YosâŚ
[details=Spoiler]It wasnât a struggle due to war. It was a struggle for everyone because there was a drought so there was a severe shortage of food and water.
Basically, that boy, Asura born without a parent to guide him, lives his life like an animal hunting 24/7 to survive. When he encounters a monk and a lady, he is taught how to become human again. He tries, but things donât go his way since heâs been living 8 eight years without any understanding of how humans think and socialize.
I donât want to spoil the ending, but everything that happens was understandable. Itâs just that the undesirable outcome from climax felt forced and that bothered me a bit.
The animation was unique. I thin kit was those 3D cel-shading with texture ish which was refreshing, but not particularly new.
We still got a fight just a different one which helped set up what happened later, found the trolling rather amusing myself, although it would be nice to get an ova or something later depicting it as long as it could live up to the expectations the description and trailer from the previous episode laid out.
Speaking of ridiculously expensive blu-rays. Aniplex is going to release a 10 BD set of Lagann that covers the entire tv series, the 2 movies, and 5 CDâs for $600. Theyâll be distributing it to North America as well.
I was actually going to hit the internet in search of a picture that is my reply to that $600 pricetag. But then I saw your av Killey. Thanks for doing the lifting for me lol. It goes perfectly.

[]1st half of finale - The battle of Exodus and Genesis concludes as Hanemura cuts down the pillar (with a giant sword) and frees the world from the influence of the Tree of Genesis.
[]2nd half of the finale - Everyone moves forward in a world without âmagicâ: Hakaze is just a normal girl now (with normal girl problems, lol). Evangeline is looking forward to finding love (lol @ Samon and Natsumura dodge, with Junichiro trying to get noticed). Mahiro and Yoshino watch Aikaâs last message to them to fully realize her thoughts about everything (Aika, you tease!).
[/list]
I enjoyed the journey for the most part. Though the mystery buildup was interesting, the chars were the highlight, mainly the dialogues/convos about each of their reasons/motivations for what they did. The Shakespeare overtones were also a nice touch if you were familiar with the featured works. The âconference callâ convo and Aikaâs ârevealâ as the Mage of Exodus were memorable moments for me.

[]Crow becomes a large entity and after making short work of the UDF forces, it begins to siphon from the Incarnate Engine in order to render the world powerless.
[]Rei is alive and inside the Crow entity and has a front-row seat to watch the destruction. She sees that Akane and the others are making their way to save her.
[]The girls go out in full force - First, Vividyellow (Arrogance attack from Chaos Legion), then Vividgreen (insert âPower Slashâ here), and finally, Vividblue (Super Pound w/ Hammer from Monster Hunter) to open up a path for Akane to go inside the Crow entity to rescue Rei.
[]Akane finds Rei and âdocksâ with her, which initiates the Vividred transformation and utilizes an punch (Burn Knuckle - from space) to defeat/destroy the Crow entity.
[]The world is saved and Rei learns that her world will be restored, prompting a bit of a âgoodbye sceneâ with Akane and the other girls.
[]Life goes on, and on one day while Akane is doing her delivery run, she spots a familiar-looking girl off in the distance.

Show was fun.
Soundtrack for fights/encounters was pretty boss.

[]Yuriko disbands and reestablishes the ESP Society Club, whose renewed purpose is to have various interactions with Harukaâs ESP ability - at her expense.
[]Haruka learns of Yurikoâs true intent and the famed psychicâs daughter apologizes for her actions. The topic of love comes up and while Muroto continues to dodge Yurikoâs advances (Yuriko has a renewed drive in getting her feelings noticed), Haruka notes that the expression of love has yet to be actualized between herself and Manabe.
[]Hiyori experiences the horror that is Harukaâs tone-deaf singing when the group goes out to karaoke.
[]Mother and daughter are reunited and as their encounter progresses, Haruka stands up to Kumiko and expresses her built-up feelings toward her mother. Haruka also learns of Kumikoâs thoughts when they had parted long ago. It appears that they had reconciled and are working to foster a relationship between themselves.
[*]While Haruka seeks advice from Hiyori on how to confess her feeling to Manabe, Manabe just happens to stop by and has a thought where he feels that Haruka is being NTR by Hiyori, lol. Later, both Haruka and Manabe admit their feelings for the other.

Though the comedy parts were more present than the drama parts, the possibility for drama stuffs being the draw (with the first episode), were few and far between as things went down the rom-com path. Manabe was fun to watch as he was honest about his feelings, regardless of the situation.

[]Roman and Magoichi are currently overwhelmed by the attacks of Perry and Conte, respectively.
[]The ship Shining Dawn is blown up by Gennaiâs zombies, causing friend and foe alike to abandon ship amidst the explosions.
[]Magoichi uses an illusion technique against Conte and as both men face phantoms relevant to their past experiences, Conteâs background is highlighted and he resigns himself to his fate and is shot and defeated, with Magoichi being the only survivor of the duel.
[]Somewhere inside the wrecked hull, Yuki finds Roman and while he is recovering, she learns more about Conte through a journal that details his background, along with Perry, and their dreams for ushering in a new world. Roman recovers and the pair finds Koharu (who is unconscious) and while Yuki takes Koharu to safety, Roman goes off to fight Perry.
[]The fight between Roman and Perry concludes with a fist fight as each man proclaims what they are fighting for, with Perry ultimately being defeated by Romanâs resolve.
[]With the incident over, Koharu remembers nothing about what happened to her and Roman (and company) continues their get-backing stuffs.

It kinda wouldâve been nice if there were more âget-backingâ stuffs, though.
Minami-ke ended too. Not as good as season one (I doubt any season will to be) but it was a lot fun. Though Iâm disappointed with the lack of screen time the other Minami family received compared to the previous season. My man Natsuki only appeared a handful of times. This is unacceptable. Kana not wearing her iconic shirt sucked too
I always come into this thread and see all these anime names and have no clue what anyoneâs talking about.
Shingeki no Kyojin starts next week I think. It actually looks to be a solid adaption from the trailers. I actually hope they donât follow the manga to much, it should follow the Claymore route.
And good lord thereâs gonna be a new Azazel-san season airing too? along with 2nd season of Ore no Imouto?! a Hanasaku Iroha movie, Saint onii-san and Code Geass ova?! Thereâs a lot more to watch than I thought, got my comedy action and slice of life. And new Game of thrones Season started today, Jesus Christ Iâm gonna be watching a lot of stuff every week.
Yo but seriously I had no clue there was a new Azazel-san. That just made my night.
Magi ties up itâs current arc at episode 25 and ends the season. The end of the episode confirms a second season in fall. I kind of like this better, so the anime doesnât catch up to the manga and we either get filler arcs or story deviations.
Bakuman also ended this week and they added a lot more content than the manga given a lot more after math and overall better closure to the characters.
Watched the Nanoha Aâs movie and it was a really well done movie. Itâs a complete redo of the TV series with only the jist of the storyline remaining intact. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the movie since Aâs was the best of the 3 series. From what Iâve read, there will be a 3rd movie that will be an original story and not a retelling of Strikers. Itâs like they knew that Strikers was ass and decided to fix that. lol
On a miscellaneous note, the BD release of Gundam 08th MS Team has an original episode that was just made for the BD release. I havenât watched it yet but from what I skipped around it looks pretty slick.
Why do you want it to deviate from the manga? Iâm actually wondering how far they will go with the TV series since there doesnât seem to be enough content to do a 25 episode series and 13 episodes will just leave you in the middle of the arc that gets into the meat of the story. Iâd rather have them section Shingeki no Kyojin into seasons so they can slowly cover the manga.
EDIT: Tokyotosho april fools gave me a small chuckle. Just afk on the site real quick and theyâll pop up, click em and then hover over shit for âhelpâ lol
You said it yourself, there ainât nearly enough content in the manga to justify following it. Doing it by season doesnât seem to be to smart with a monthly manga unless they plan to do a season every 2 years. A lot of bombs are being dropped in the manga and having the anime follow it would have it end on a massive cliffhanger regardless of were they end it. I think it would benefit more from just having 13 episodes of itâs own little story. Set up the world with the first volume or two then just do itâs own thing. Maybe even 22-24 episodes. But whatever, weâll find out next week.
I just finished Katanagatari today, it was quite amazing. Great ending.
I decided to start Code Geass today as well, Iâve been dodging that shit for deep.
Initial D is also pretty good, Iâm an episode away from finishing the second season.
