I don’t think there will be considering its lack of popularity.

Well… Vivid Red Operation ending exactly the way I thought it would.
Spoiler
Ever since Rei was introduced, it was obvious she wasn’t ACTUALLY a bad guy and eventually, she and Akane would dock, power up and save the world. Considering Akane’s weapon is a boomerang and Rei’s was a bow, I was a little surprised their weapon wasn’t some kind f projectile…but I guess if it was a bow it would be a little too Meduka. Anyway, using the power of friendship they punch the angel so hard that God comes down to earth and fixes everything for Rei and even gives her a day pass to our parallel universe so she can visit her girlfriends.
I like how the military, even though they have NEVER been effective at ALL, still show up to these fights. I mean yeah, it is obvious so they can animate a whole bunch of smoke plumes from like a hundred missiles being shot at something, and to show a dozen battle cruisers being cut up by lasers…but man…talk about a waste of tax payer dollars. Just let the pre-teens do their job.

I’m a bit disappointed with Zetsuen no Tempest and Maoyu Yuusha’s endings because they were both safe endings. They weren’t bad but they weren’t exceptional.
I didn’t want Maoyuu Maou Yuusha to end. =(

Maoyuu ended up being slightly disappointing because it kept branching all over the place and lost focus on what made the show interesting in the first place. It ended up falling into a generic fantasy anime and while that was entertaining in it’s own way it’s not what got me hooked into the show in the first place. I’m not sure if that’s the full story or Maoyuu or if there’s enough content to do a 2nd season but I wouldn’t mind a second season for sure.
For me, it ended up more interesting though things got a bit haywire when the Merchant decided to create an artificial scarcity of wheat. I’m not sure what his true intention was.
Also, I couldn’t get enough of the Knight. “I gave it to him.” “What did you say?” “I mean, my sword!”
What kind of ending would you have preferred?
I’m sad to see Maoyuu go. I really enjoy that show and loved where it was headed. It feels like it ended too soon

ill have to agree with you. i kind of feel that way about every show this season that i have watched. alot of them have that epic build up, but things settle down by the final episode, and you can kind of tell how things will progress.
I really, really enjoyed Zetsuen no Tempest, and though the ending wasn’t really edge-of-the-chair stuff, it was still well done and interesting. The characterization was very well done from beginning to end: you could see a lot of change, adaptation, and growth as circumstances changed among the major players. I also like how they kind of set you up to think really poorly of Mahiro’s personality when he was really a shockingly reasonable person. I came into things expecting to be mildly annoyed by him and ended up liking him a lot.
I’m gonna miss Evangeline though
Thats pretty much most of these shows these days. Putting too much in and just having shallow inklings of what they could be. It’s all fluff and no substance it seems. Like they are scared to make shit concrete so that there is a chance they can like you said, branch off, but into more mediums and sequels. Like the whole show feels like commercial for a better show that you will never get to see.

Tempest didn’t need to change it’s ending at all, it just needed to execute it better. The final episode was incredibly plain and followed a typical shonen plot line, which it’s not. You can sum the final episode like this:
Zetsuen no Tempest final episode
Spoiler
Final boss initially beats the hero, the hero gets a last minute power up and beast the final boss, after math where everyone lives happily ever after.
Personally, I found that Tempest lost steam after the first half of the series because it started to slow things down dramatically and became a lot more light hearted. The first half was much more intense and the build up of the two mysteries was really well done. In the second half of the seasons it was about dealing with the final conflict, revealing the final mystery, and the character development. While the character development was really well done the other 2 parts were lack luster to me. The final mystery was pretty anti-climatic and the final conflict was never built up properly, imo, and thus when it came to the final 2 episodes it felt like the series was just going through the motions.

Man, props to Chihayafuru for casting Megumi Hayashibara. I haven’t heard do anything new recently besides Pokemon and Evangelion movies. It’s nice to hear her doing something new again.
Props to Spirit Juice for getting top 5 in Persona at Final Round.
