Anime & Manga Thread v.5 FAQ/IRC: See OP. Welcome to 2017

You know people go “Shots fired”? Imagine me making those shots with gummy bullets; wanted to fire something, didn’t want to hurt the guy’s feelings.

<font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>oh yeah I forgot about shigeki no kyojin. Still in awe it’s getting an anime. No doubt it will very loosely follow the manga (as you know, it’s no where near a point where an anime can follow it and not look like it’s 20% done). Will watch. Though like all manga to anime adaptions, it won’t be nearly as brutal.

ok, looking at that new list…i dont see kuroko basketball on there…fuck that list!

Man, the new, up-to-date list isn’t actually looking too bad, enough shows that look interesting to have something left after dropping the ones which turn out to be shit and although Railgun anime season one was pure ass it’s hard to see them fucking up the Accelerator arc.

So glad it wasn’t the earlier completely bloody dominated by moeshit chart, I origionally commented on.
did they change the formula’s of how anime seasons work? im not used to having to wait for season 2 of an anime…i remember that shit just being automatic after episode 12 or w/e.
It depends on a few things. If it’s an adaptation of an ongoing manga or light novel with not much source material then the seasons will have a larger spread. If it’s an ongoing weekly manga with hundreds of chapters and is a big shounen title then there isn’t much spread(if at all), they’ll just make filler until there’s enough canon material. Railgun manga for example didn’t even have enough material for a whole season when they decided to make the anime so they used filler for the second half. Since it’s a monthly manga, it took until now for them to have enough to do a filler-free(fingers crossed) season 2. Those are just the reasons I understand. I’m sure there’s also financial and bureaucratic shit too.
New list looks like it might be alright. Shingeki no Kyojin looks interesting and Devil Survivor might be good.
Ohh? Railgun 2? Ok, now that’s a little better. Something I can get behind.

Aiura might be interesting too, it looks like it’s gonna have some sort Nichijou-style animation.

New list says:

Uchuu Senkai 2199 (Ill try it, for the sake of the movie)
Shingeki no Kyojin
Oreimo II
Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Blade; I need more of that artstyle.
Railgun S
Shima Documentary (bet I’ll get bored of it, but I’ll try it)
Higurashi Outbreak

Hanasaku Iroha: Home Sweet Home
Steins;Gate Deja Vu

well the thing is im used to anime’s automatically continuing…fillers or new episodes. but i noticed in the past few years where an anime will actually just stop showing like an american show takes a summer break. maybe not as long a break as america. thought it was odd they do that now.
you’re probably use to watching shounens that last forever, anime for the most part has always been 12/3 or 24/26.

Sounds like some shitty moe blob harem manga.
Berserk is one of those bi-sexual love triangle stories for girls about people who can’t express their feelings.

Oh Griffith, I love you, but you are so radiant I can never be with you, I guess I’ll settle for this brown girl who is a stand in for the average reader. Oh Guts, why won’t you let me be on top I will retard your fake girlfriend out of jealously/ Griffith! I sort of liked her! Not as much as you! If only we could have angry make up sex! No! I am going to go be emo because I cannot be with my love! No! I will be the emo because I am cleaning up the poops of my second choice, and not yours!. GAATTTTSSUUUUU, GRRIFFFFIITTTTHIIIISSUUUUUU.

The chapters only come out like, once every 6 years because the author got tired of homo shit and started watching anime for REAL MEN like the Idolm@ster.
