cause not everyone wants to see stills of things that are supposed to be called action scenes, or see it in black and white with a color spread once in a while…?
Mangas w/ Animes are more comparable to professionally done storyboards than books.
Why read the storyboard when you can watch the Anime and hear the SCHINGS and the ZAPS?
It’s honestly the preference of many that should be respected. I can understand the frustration for people not reading the mangas for long-winded animes like Bleach/Naruto, where you basically HAVE TO. However, for an anime that seems to be faithful (to my knowledge, I don’t read the manga) to the manga; it’s a respectable choice.
and a hard, very very hard choice. Fighting the temptation is hard. I did lose myself once and read the chapter where Eren picked up the boulder
*Finally finished LOGH with a friend the other day. It was fucking fantastic, easily in my top 10 anime of all time, possibly in my top 5. I HIGHLY suggest anyone who haven’t already watched the series to give it a shot. *
…you must really hate novels and written media in general then.
I can understand the choice but I still feel the comic form has its place. With a little imaginable it’s not completely point to check out comics/mangas even if it is a glorified storyboard.
That is the only way the series can keep on going. As soon as she becomes normal, you’ve just lost the series whole selling point.
You should watch OreImo if you like Watamote and dislike incest (if you can even call it that with Watamote lol). They both make you laugh at an Otaku schoolgirl and there’s almost no incest in OreImo either. They’re really similar, I swear!

[]The Ebisugawa were originally an off-shoot of the Shimogamo, but they eventually separated, and somehow resulted in a long-standing feud between the two families. Soun (originally of the Shimogamo) married into the Ebisugawa, which was supposed to quell the tension, but instead added fuel to the fire. The betrothal of Yasaburo and Kaisei was to bring about union and peace, but things got complicated when Soichiro passed away and Soun cancelling the engagement.
[]Yasaburo visits Yodogawa and gives him a photo of the professor and Benten from their last outing. It appears that Yodogawa is having trouble finding a tanuki for the year-end bash of the Friday Fellows.
[]Later, Yasaburo relates the news to Mother and Yaichiro. When Yashiro joins them, they go to a shrine where the candidates for Nise-emon are to be formally recognized. After a small conflict at the gate with Ginkaku and Kinkaku, The Shimogamo’s enter the shrine grounds. Yasaburo reminisces about Benten and in a convo with Mother, he learns that Soichiro was unable to maintain his transformation when Benten was present alongside Akadama. Akadama’s name comes up in regard to a topic about a tengu representative for some Nise-emon meeting stuffs. Elsewhere, a figure watches the event at the shrine and is particular focused on the Ebisugawa’s.
[]Outside and inside Akadama’s place, various tanuki have assembled (including Yaichiro), hoping to garner favor with Akadama. Yasaburo appears to help their cause, but the others are scared/intimidated by Akadama and they flee outside. Yasaburo manages to appeal to Akadama’s senses and manages to get the tengu to attend the Nise-emon meeting (albeit reluctantly in Akadama fashion). The news is received well by the others who are present. Nearby, the figure from the shrine is present.
[]Yasaburo decides to go to the bathhouse to warm up from the cold, and ends up meeting with Kaisei, who is in the women’s bath. After some back-and-forth banter, Kaisei tells Yasaburo that Yaichiro will likely not become Nise-emon. She also goes on to tell him that her brothers may be up to something no good and for Yaichiro to be careful. However, it is the statement of “I’m sorry” by Kaisei that ends up surprising Yasaburo, most of all.
[]The Shimogamo’s gather for a bit of a mini-prayer for victory for Yaichiro, but Kaisei’s words seem to weigh on Yasaburo’s mind.

What are Yodogawa and Yasaburo eating? It appears to be giant versions of regular pastry stuffs, which looks pretty good.
First, Akadama isn’t really interested in the Nise-emon stuffs, but when the right conditions apply, he’s somewhat onboard with the idea, especially when it comes to drink stuffs.
Kaisei’s actual appearance was kinda lackluster, with her semi-visible appearances being somewhat more interesting.
Apparently, Kaisei is pretty good with projectile stuffs, lol.
What are Ginkaku and Kinkaku up to this time? From Kaisei’s tone and comment (“I’m sorry”), it could be something big.
Yashiro is a battery that can power cell phones and light up tree lights.
Hmm… I think Nise-emon stuffs and the Friday Fellows year-end party occur on the same day, or very close to each other.

[]Ai, Yuri, and Celica, continue their journey with new additions, Alis and Dee, as they look for Scar, with Celica’s guidance.
[]The Goran Academy students are currently at Tanya’s place, who has been reunited with her parents.
[]Yuri tells Ai about Scar’s behavior with Celica when she wasn’t with the group.
[]With a reminder from Dee, Ai learns that it’s Alis’ birthday and decides to celebrate the occasion by throwing him a small birthday party.
[]The group finds themselves in a place that is shrouded in fog, crystals are scattered throughout the landscape, and the area is somewhat beset by lightning strikes. A lightning bolt touches down near some crystals and a male Gravekeeper appears. A number of identical-looking Gravekeepers are ‘created’ via the process.
[]Story Circle is the place where Gravekeepers are ‘born’. Dee leaves the party due to some uneasiness that she is feeling.
[]The group is separated by some deep fog with each person having some sort of vision: Ai sees her father, Hampnie, and her mother, Hana. Yuri sees his wife and child. Alis sees a window…
[]The fog lessens and as the group is reunited, they see Scar at her ‘birthplace’. Scar is reluctant to return to the group, but Yuri says that he will support her.
[*]With Scar rejoining the group, they continue on their journey. Ai recalls her convo that she had with Alis a while back: where he tells her where he’s from (a town called Ostia) and a bit about a situation concerning some of Alis’ classmates who remain there.

Apparently, Celica functions a bit better than a compass, in regard to finding Scar anyway.
Birthday celebrations are serious to Ai.
The Gravekeeper mythos info stuffs was interesting.
Story Circle, with all the lightning strikes, made me think of the Lightning Plains in FFX.
Celica bringing Yuri and Scar together.
Alis’ backstory appears to be the focus of next week’s episode.
So I have read the manga of Attack on Titan so I only watch anime episodes for highlight scenes. I have been wondering, though, if the show’s time slot got changed in Japan. It seems like the on-screen deaths are more graphic now than they were near the beginning of the show.
