If you like Chihayafuru i recommend Cardfight Vangaurd. I know it seems kiddy but its the only anime i know of that comes close to showing the struggles to improve your game like chihayafuru does. AND they are both about cards
Late as hell Psycho-pass can die in a fire last 2 eps were just a burrwaa moment wrapped in a FU wrap. Nice animation thou can’t fault them on that.

Yes, it’s like K-on with boys and good animation quality. I think the best part about it is all the reactions people are having to it.
Anyone who was expecting anything other than a gender-swapped K-ON were kidding themselves, really.
No word yet. But manga sales were boosted by the 2nd season yet again, so it’s a good sign for green-lighting a potential 3rd season. That’s how the first 2nd season managed to get through, despite having rather modest DVD/BD sales.
On Sasami-San@Ganbaranai. That show was just straight up otaku-bait, it’s good if you’re one of those that it’s trying to pander towards but other than that there was little of any other substance to it. Just another wacky, random show that you just roll with whatever the hell it’s doing and enjoy for what it is.

well, its definitely a possibility, manga sales are looking amazing for it right now, only problem right now is there isnt nearly enough manga material for a 3rd season, there is like 15 or so chapters out ahead of where season 2 ended, so i would say next year around this time we will get a season 3 hopefully.
Looks like the karuta in Chihayafuru is some pretty legit shit. Them speed and reactions son. Hot Damn.

so i been watching alot of the vids on youtube, apparently this game is pretty big, over 100k players in japan, and the game is picking up interest in china, New Zealand, and our very own USA. there was recently a Karuta exhibition match on display at the Cherry Blossom Festival in San Francisco , CA.
this is the best vid i found so far, they even have to slow down alot of the moves for us to catch their speed.

Yeah Valvrave is really far up there as far as quality anime… I do have more of a soft spot for Neon Genesis, but that’s pretty much tops for a robot anime so maybe it’s an unfair comparison…
They kill off everybody in Valvrave though, so it feels like there really is a war going on… in most animes with wars, the main characters get to make tough choices that somehow end with no deaths… not this shit though

I hope enough people are watching this thing so they can follow up on their promise for a season 2 on October…

I mean, on one hand, morally, I am opposed to shows about boys. On the other, I am morally obliged to support everything KyoAni does, in return for everything they have done for me.

The new Gainax show is pretty interesting considering it’s pretty much about paintball. The animation is slick and it carries a smooth jazz soundtrack.

The new Gainax show is called Stella Jogakuin Koutou-ka C³-bu. I only skimmed through the first episode but I liked what I saw.
Also, what is the best sites that streams anime? I have a friend who just wants to sample a bunch of shows and see what he wants to watch. Streaming an episode or two is faster for him than downloading a few episodes.
