Just finished Soul Eater…like it but…it got worse towards the end and the actually ending was stupid imo. Tired of these dumb ways they think up of how to beat enemies now a days. Probably not even going to read the manga unless its extremely different.
Now i can catch back up on Naruto shipuden or someone can suggest me a good anime to watch…preferably on netflix.

@ kkslider: I didn’t initially (years ago, I mean) grasp the various cultural intricacies Shinji’s character was trying to get at. I do now (ironically after I stopped liking a lot of anime) but Shinji still doesn’t flow from what he was in the original series to what he became in EoE. Confused, sexually frustrated, suffering way too many back-to-back bouts of PTSD; yeah. But he never, ever did something thoroughly despicable before EoE.
Hence why I say OOC. Contrived because Anno was pissed and trying to make some shallow point and/or get back at his critics.
The concept of “heroism” I’m touting isn’t necessarily a “western” one; the hero of the story, the protagonist, does things to advance his agenda and push towards his goal. It isn’t always glamorous or even necessarily “good” (Tony Soprano, Light Yagami, the main dude from District 9). Shinji did heroic things by his nature, which always seemed to be a “man up when people other than Shinji Ikari need help.”
His dichotomy was obvious from day 1, and again, I’d have had no problem if, in the story, he succumbed, if I bought the way in which it happened. I didn’t, and I’ll argue that even from an objective standpoint it makes little psychological sense, as if Shinji really had it in him to start jerking off to Comasuka, there would have been believable signs leading to it.
I don’t need a happy ending or for the hero to even “win” (though the hero must change, or a story falls flat). But I do need to buy what they’re doing. I buy Superman stalking Lois to make sure Cyclops isn’t beating her: any scrutiny of Superman’s character over the years reveals a good-but-petty man. I buy Superman killing someone before Batman would. I buy Vash the Stampede killing someone when the stakes are down (I love Trigun). I don’t buy any of Shinji in EoE. It wasn’t even the same character anymore.
I am rewatching trigun now for when the Moves BD drops and it’s been a while since i last seen it and Vash goes through an incredible character arc, i had either forgotten or didn’t quite grasp the impact of it at the time. Vash is a really well written protagonist
didn’t see this yet, so maybe i missed it but i doubt it since it’s fairly new (news).

Man, I can’t wait until fall 2013 to watch the next Eva movie.
Seriously Gainax, release the Eva movies on BD quicker, I don’t want to wait a year to watch it and then another to buy it.
Darker Than Black. I don’t know if season 2 is up yet, but you can download or stream it online. Don’t read any opinions on season 2. Watch it and come to your own opinion first.

Hm… the thing says it due fall 2012, so that means roughly a little over a year from now then. I hope this gets another theatrical run worldwide.
Seeing Asuka in space… I’m pretty sure she’s probably fighting the Angel that mind fucks her in the TV series. Get fucked AGAIN, Asuka.
I actually started watching that a while ago and havent finished/got very far. I do enjoy it tho so ill get back to watching it.
Darker Than Black is a good watch. Not my favorite, but solid. its one of those you have to pay good attention too. I remember watching a couple episodes while writing a paper on my laptop and wasn’t really paying full attention and a few days later when I watched the next episode I was confused as fuck lol.
On Netflix I would suggest Kaze No Stigma or Black Butler. But take my opinion with the finest grain of salt, im a noobie when it comes to anime.

I noticed how much they resemble scooby doo before I started noticing pics/ hearing others say it. The cast was extremely annoying. No offense to anyone but a cast constructed of a dyke, gay person, annoying teddie bear(with squeaky feet) just isnt cool to me, the others were ight. Yosuke da bess.
