Yes, that Spider-man is aweful. It has a few strong spots but in general. Weak. If i remember right it got cancled right before Dormamu was revealed to.

Well, a bit of a developmental episode for Kotetsu as expected; as he tries to win over his daughter and cope with his ever fading Next powers. Though he did manage to gain the respect of his daughter after he saved her from being locked into that shrine. However, with how things are going from seeing the preview of next week’s episode, will he seriously keep up with Kaede’s promise this time?

Ah, poor Enishi. The director was a scammer and he lost a good deal of money signing that deal. Though that bit with Takako and him in the pool and his random declarations of Engrish were pretty funny, but it seems that he’s finally getting some confidence of his own.

A double segment featuring Hideyoshi and Yuuko trading places (well, the latter forcing the former to do so, anyway. :lol:) and the 2nd featuring how Hazuki managed to meet Yoshii. Not much comedy in the 2nd part, but it was good.

If you thought the hotpot battle from episode 25 was serious, this one ups the ante with the Yoruzuya trio getting a crab as a present; and with each one trying to steal a part of the crab to eat to themselves. Of course, this gets exaggerated into some kind of feudal war, ugly princesses and a Laputa reference to make things a little more ridiculous. 
Am I the only one that really disliked the past two episodes of Iroha?
I mean they basically took two episodes to say:
“Hey, Enishi keeps failing, let’s watch him fail EXTRA big this time!”
It was hard to actually be empathic for the character when for 15 episodes they haven’t given me a reason to give a damn for him.

I’ve been exposed to incestuous situations(cousin) since age 5. I won’t go too into this since it’s a can of worms but I’ll just say this, people are more easily acceptable of ideas and philosophies when exposed to them at a young age. I was exposed to it at age 5 and it continued until my mid teens. That’s not to say that we ‘grew out of it’(in the same way that Japanese people say young lesbians should ‘grow out of it’), we simply grew apart. Because of my past experiences, and because someone else’s morals weren’t drilled into my head, I don’t see anything harmful about it. I assume that Japan is the same. Arguing what’s right and wrong is pointless, because it’s irrational and arbitrary. What matters is if anyone is being hurt. Cases like that are also cases that can be attributed to pedophilia. People that don’t like incest… are often aggressive about it, book-burning aggressive. Instead of simply ignoring material that includes it, they wish for its destruction. I am happy that other places have so much creative freedom. There used to be a TVTropes Troper Tales page for the ‘Kissing Cousins’ trope where people could reminisce about their incestuous experiences. But then some guy that takes troper tales, voices out the entries dramatically and uploads them to Youtube did that for ‘Kissing Cousins’. Soon after, the page was taken down because “nobody wants to read about incest”. If nobody wanted to read about incest then nobody would have wanted to write about incest. There would be no stories involving incest. People think they are right and gather together, then they become ‘everybody’.
We can’t talk about this, we can’t talk about that… A woman killed herself because of the ridicule she faced after revealing that she fingered her sister. Her revealing that was quite idiotic(it was on Facebook IIRC) but it’s a shame that the ridicule even happened. People associate incestuous people with rural degenerate trash(nobody mentions that royalty and the aristocracy also practiced incest). Unfortunately there are no support groups for people that practice incest, only people that survive incest. There are no awareness groups, PSAs or Lifetime movies about people being treated like shit because they fell in love with their cousin or sibling. It used to be that it was OK for people to treat homosexuality in the same manner. What happened?

Weird and harmful/bad are not synonyms. There’s a lot of things I find ‘weird’ about gay culture. But that’s because I am not familiar with it. Even still, I’m fine with material on the subject merely existing. If the daughter is underage then yes of course it’s wrong. But that is a matter of statutory rape/pedophilia. And once again, offspring produced by first generation incest has a relatively low chance of birth defects. A 40 year old woman having a child has the same chances. When a set of morals has been in someone’s head for so long, they won’t be so willing to let it go. I understand, I’m the same. I’ve said what I wanted to say on the topic.

Usagi drops is my favorite show this season. At least the main character is someone I can respect. I say this with no knowledge of the manga so no spoilers please.
Also watched the new Ghibli film Karigurashi no Arietty and I’m not really sure what to make of the film. Loved the attention to detail but felt too short and didn’t get to develop any of the characters that well.

You know that incest was very real before. Especially during the monarchy period - to keep the royal bloodline going for example. It’s when the discovery that fucking your sister is bad that it started to stop and some how became a taboo. Incest is more like a fetish now. Japanese culture towards sex are a lot more liberal than the west. The only thing you can do is learn to deal with it.
