Anime & Manga Thread v.4 FAQ/IRC: See OP. Thread over. Move onto v.5

Nichijou, really retarded show(in a good way)

My favorite comedy in years. I guess it’s kind of hit or miss for some people though, I personally love it.

The animation in that series was god-like, but for that same reason caused it’s own demise (dvd’s sold like shit iirc).

That random scene where the principle pulls a suplex on a random elk or some shit. I laughed pretty hard at its premise alone.

Nichijou was pretty hit or miss. Funny at times, completely stale at others. I stopped watching it around 12 episodes because of that.

Yeah like I said, hit or miss, but imo, it got better and better with each episode about halfway through.

Im trying to catch up on the anime this season so stuff and stuff.

Im not watching Eureka Seven AO. Looks too much like they just switched the hair colors of the male and female leads from the first show and just rehashed it. Maybe thats not the case but I found the first show to be just ok. Those fucking kids somehow being raised by the person who killed their parents in cold blood and the best part of the show was that Charles and Ray arc at the middle plus having to see Eureka’s hair look like hell for like 25 episodes and Talho getting that lame ass makeover in the last quarter of the show and the first few minutes of the last episode killing off characters for no reason keeps it from being all that great for me. Plus Chiaki Omigawa is voicing someone in AO and that bitch is terrible to listen to.

Hyouka is boring. Theres parts where the budget makes some parts look surreal but since it isnt allocated to give off any sort of visual flare throughout the show like in Sankarea or Amnesia Ghost, its just people talking about stuff while the camera has wandering shots of the background that leaves no real impression and made me yawn once. Could use some actual direction on all cylinders. Man if this show bombs like Nichijou theres gonna be some problems. It might force Kyo-Ani to do more KEY adaptations.

Speaking of KEY, there was a pretty big shitstorm over J.C Staff doing Little Busters and not Kyo-Ani. For good reason too since J.C Staff is just terrible at adaptations.

I’d watch Fate/Zero but it reeks of being too invested in words words words when it could just show things while glossing over details, and mainly concentrate on building up to the major events with lots of action that is actually shown on screen. In others words, a crappy adaptation that doesn’t even utilize the medium because it wants to adapt every unimportant thing. Its boring.

Medaka Box is as boring as the manga.

Nyarlko was fun in the first episode. Now its kinda lame. The energy from the first episode has slowed now, Cuuko is just a close proximity copy of Nyarlko which is just redundant and the show isnt crazy enough contentwise.

I fucking loved Mio in that show.

That video fo the hallway running part to Inital D music was god like. Running in the 90’s was playing.

Edit: This one.

man you don’t even want to know what happens after fourth stage

Lol at hating Chiaki Omigawa.

I still giggle at the thought of her laughing maniacally on Soul Eater.

To be fair, that was her worst role. She didn’t fit it at all, and being new to voice acting, her voice acting talent was very lacking.

I thought she sounded refreshingly new and distinct with her weird ass voice lol. We need more fresh talent with hilariously goofy laughs and true sincerity.

I do like her voice but just not on Maka.

Ok bit of a long shot, i dont know the name of this series/movie in fact i dont even remember if it was a series or movie in fact most likely a 3 or 4 part series, but i swear it must have been around 93 to 97 back in the days when manga entertainment was big, i just remember it being about a oldish couple who were having trouble with a ghost so they call in this person (cannot remember it it was a guy or bird maybe even both) tobattle with these ghosts, i dont remember much else it was sorta like doomed megalopolis, i just remember in the end this giant suit of Armour using lightening to strike the house causing it to catch fire killing the old folks i think then walking away in the rain.

It quite possibly been a manga entertainment thing because back in the uk in the mid 90’s that all we used to get really, especially if it was shown on tv which i believe it was

Any clue folks, i’ve always wanted to see this series again

Watched the first 5 episodes of Soul Eater and Darker Than Black last year…ehhh SE is kinda funny but neither series really interested me enough to continue.

Lupin III: A woman named Fujiko Mine #5

Spoiler

Huh, so this week, we don’t really get too much of Fujiko - but instead we see Lupin and Jigen’s first meeting; with the setting of stealing a peacock made of alexandrite from a pyramid. Lots of action sequences; considering how the duo’s first encounter was rather hostile. Not too surprised that Fujiko double crossed the both of them by letting them activate one of the pyramid’s more deadlier traps; but even then, she didn’t get her treasure in the end. Good episode.

Sankarea: For your hot zombie yuri needs.

FUCK, i want Eureka Ao OST right now!!!

holy shit, so i just marathoned mirai nikki. loved it; would’ve been pain to wait for a new ep once a week. and i think i found a new waifu in minene <3
